Wheth🍰er you've been a supporter since day one, or have fallen off the game and are looking to jump back in, you'll want to know eveꦫrything new this patch brings to the game.

This 🦋update covers a wide range of changes, so we'll cover all the major subjects you will need to know. The entire is available if you want to see all the minor details, quality of life changes, and bug fixes.

Killjoy Joins The Game

Via Twinfinite

The biggest addition to VALORANT has to be the new agent Killjoy. There is now a new contract in the game that you can take on to unlock her alon🐭g with her rewards. As far as what she can do, Killjoy is a turret and trap focused character. Alarmbot is a little robot she can throw out that will chase down any enemies in its range and explode causing a vulnerable status. Turret is, well, a turret. Place one down and it will fire on any enemy that comes into its 180 degree cone of vision. Nanoswarm is a new grenade that becomes covert upon landing. Once activated, a swarm of nanobots appear damaging anyone caught in the ra👍dius. Finally, Killjoy's ult is called Lockdown. After firing the device, it will take a few moments to wind up before detaining any enemy in its radius. Careful where and when you place it, though, because the other team can destroy it before it goes off.

Raze Gets Nerfed

Via Shacknews

Sorry Raze players, but this agent is taking some nerfs this update. Showstopper will take you longer to equip anꦓd quick equip, and Blast Pack will deal 50 damage instead of 75 – but will consistently do 600 damage to objects. The justification made by Riot for these nerfs were that Showstopper needed to give more warning ☂for the enemy to react based on how strong it was. Blast Pack, on the other hand, was just too strong against players.

Act Ranks And Competitive

Competitive Act I has come to and end, and this patch kicks off Competitive Act II. For anyone worried about the rank you earned in Act I vanishing, don't fret. Simply play three matches to restore your Act I rank in Actꦰ II. But, be warned that the initial placement is going to be a little low💯er than last time to try and better determine player's skills. With that, the first games you play will have a bigger impact on your rank, so doing well early on will allow you to rank up quickly.

Via Gamespot

There will also be new rank indicators to be🌟tter inform yo🐻u on how a match impacted your rank. You can get between one and three down arrows, each indicating a slight, regular, or great decrease to your rating.

New Game Mode

Aside from the new agent, Deathmatch finally joining the playlist of game types is the other major addition. This will work as a ten player free-for-all match, with the first player to hit 30 kills wi༺nning, or whoever has the most at the end of six minutes. You can't use any abilities and will spawn in with a random agent you already own. You can still purchase whatever weapons you like, and heavy armor is automatically equipped each life. Getting a kill will cause enemies to drop health kits that not only fully heal you and your armor, but also gives you an automatic reload. Don't get any ideas about camping, though, because the map will occasionally reveal everyone's location.

Deathmatch is still a beta game mode, and will only be available during certain time frame♛s after ♑the patch is launched – so get in when you can to test it out!
