While each of the 16 agents in Valorant possesses its own strengths and weaknesses, there are a select few that stand out above the rest. Understanding what each agent excels at will help create a better team compoဣsition, whether to plant the spike on offense or hold the fort on defense.
The famous sports saying, “defense wins championships” also applies in Valorant. One of the best defensive agents is German genius Killjoy. With her array of alarm bots and tur💃rets, Killjoy has the capability to not only defend🔯 a bomb site herself but overall large areas that many agents cannot. Here’s how to maximize Killjoy’s efficiency on the battlefield.
Killjoy's Gadget Placement
Killjoy comes fully stocked with an Alarmbot, Turret, and two Nanoswarm grenades at her disposal. Other than Haven with th🍌e three bomb sites, Killjoy can effectively lock down a bomb site by herself with the use of her gadgets. However, if the enemy team rushes onto the site it would be beneficial to hav🦄e some backup.
Placing her gadgets in key locations is vital to a successful defensive stand. Killjoy’s Turret can immediately spot an enemy agent moving onto the site, which will alert your team of their presence while also firing suppression fire. Depending on which map and site you’re guarding while her Alarmbot is highly useful in defending against possible flanks (the same as her Turret). Killjoy does have the ability to pick up her Turret and Alarmbot to place somewhere else, but there is a cooldown of 20 seconds for each ability.
The Sentinel’s Nanoswarm can be a deadly utility item if used properly. Typically, offensive teams plant the spike in generally the same area each time. Knowing where the enemy will plant the bomb, her Nanoswarm grenades can cause substantial damage quickly and push the spike carrier to a less idღeal plant loca💛tion.
If on Haven, Killjoy has the capability to defend an extremely large area on the map. She can place her Turret inside the garage next to C to cover the mid-push and put her Alarmbot at the end of the C long hallway to defend the far side push. The same can be done on the opposite side at A site, with Killjoy placing her Turret on top of A site and her Alarmbot inside of B site. Due to the wide radius of her utility items, Killꦕjoy can spread herself thin, 🦩while also maintaining high effectiveness.
Using Nanoswarms Offensively
Although Killjoy is far more effective on defense, her Nanoswarm grenades are one of the best abilities to use after planting the bomb.
Remember, the ultimate objective in Valorant is to plant and defuse the bomb, not to go headhunting.
After Killjoy, or her teammate, has planted the bomb, place one or both of her Nanoswarm grenades on the spike. She’s able to detonate the grenades from practically anywhere on the map, as long as she maintains a line🔯 of sight toward the general direction.
Once you hear someone defusing or when time is ticking down faster, activate the Nanoswarm grenades to push th🌳e would-be defuser of𒅌f the spike. This tactic is similar to using Viper’s Snake Bite over the bomb to cause damage to anyone attempting to defuse the bomb.
Using Killjoy's Lockdown Ultimate
Killjoy’s ultimate Lockdown can be used effectively on both offense and defense. When activated, Killjoy deploys a device that emits a dome-like sphere 30-meters wide. If an enemy is caught inside the sphere after 13.5 seconds, they become immobilized and slowed for eight seconds.
If the German agent is on offense, Lockdown can be used in an attempt to rush onto a bomb site. The enemy doesn’t want to be detained in the sphere, so most likely they’ll back off until the ultimate is finished, allowing Killjoy and her team to quickly move onto the site for a plant. Similarly on defense, Lockdown can potentially push the enemy team away from the spike to allow Killjoy and her team a chance t💦o defuse the bomb.
The only downside of Lockdown is the enemy knows the center point of the sphere is the device and could try to pu𒉰sh toward it in an attempt to destroy it b🌠efore the 13.5 seconds is up.
Certain enemies like Brimstone or Sova can use their own ultimates in Orbital Strike and Hunter’s Fury to destroy the device and her ultimate. It also potentially gives away Killjoy’s position, so be careful moving around corners for enemies lingering for 🌳an ea🌌sy kill.
Beware Of Kay/O
Valorant’s newest agent, Kay/O, appears to be the perfect nemesis for Killjoy. The Initiator’s 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Zero/Point ability can neutralize all of Killjoy’s devices (if within range) without the agent knowing they’re down. For example, when an enemy shoots down her Turret, Killjoy will remark that her Turret is down. But if Kay/O uses his suppression blade, it can deactivate all of her items without them being destroyed, thus preventing Killjoy from being notified and allowing the enemy team to safely advance.
Kay/O’s Zero/Point can be shot down before suppressing the surrounding area, similar to destroying Sova’s Recon Bolt. Unfortunately, the enemy team will still gain some intel on you or your team being in the area, but at least Killjoy’s items won’t be shut down. If there is an enemy Kay/O, the best thing for Killjoy to do is stay with her Turret and other devices if he throws his Zero/Point. Killjoy’s overall movement will be severely limited, but it’s the price to pay to ensure the enemy 💝team doesn’t rush onto the site.
