Valorant streamer JasonR has come under fire amidst allegations of blocking and muting women he streams with. His defence? That it's not disrespectful because he isn't interacting with them. And it's not just other streamers. JasonR is being accused of muting any women he plays with live.
There have been a few times when JasonR's stream came to a halt as his camera took over the entire screen. He claims it's the result of a technical fault. But what's allegedly happening is that he's covering up the screen so that he can mute women in his lobby (thanks, ).
Another Valorant streamer and professional player, Annie Dro, said, "50 women have experienced the JasonR effect. He will full screen his cam, so you don't see, then mute or disconnect if there's a girl on his team. He is manipulating his audience and gaslighting them by saying he crashed every time. Refuses to address any allegations as well."
There are also allegations that JasonR bans women in his Twitch chat, although he hasn't responded to these claims. But he has come out following the allegations of him muting and blocking women in-game, doubling down on the crashes and technical glitches explanation. He said that he crashes so much because he uses a "dual PC stream" and "VoiceMeeter Banana".
However, in the same defence, he made misogynistic remarks toward women: "I didn't hear anybody in this fucking server that I apparently fucking crashed because there was a fucking bitch in it. I don't support misogyny, I don't support sexism, and I don't support [people] being rude to my wife for absolutely no reason."
It's not the first time that JasonR has been called out for this behaviour. Back in 2018, he was similarly called out for refusing to play games with women, and it seems that, nearly half a decade later, little has changed. The accusations go back as far as his days of playing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Counter-Strike, before he was a professional Valorant player. While he has retired, he continues to stream on Twitch, currently sitting at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:894,000 followers. Whether he addresses these claiꦿms or doubles down again remains to be seen.
