Another piece of evideܫnce has presented itself, indicating that Valve is truly getting back into the business of making video games.
In an interview with , Valve employees stated that they are well aware of the jokes surrounding the company’s lack of “Number 3” titles for fan-favorite franchises such as Half-life and Left 4 Dead. However, they also reinforc🅠ed previous reports that the studio is shifting its time and focus to developing video games again.
“Now we're in a place where we're able to, as a company, invest and focus a lot more on games again,” stated Artifact programmer, Brandon Reinhart. “The answer to ‘you're just sitting on your butts, sitting on a pile of money, swimming around the gold vault,’ is to not actually do tꦿhat. To deliver a bunch of high quality games that show we're actually working really hard.”
This is just another addition to a growing list supporting the fact that Valve will be releasing more game🎉s in the near-future.
In April, the company acquired Firewatch developer, Campo Santo, with the intention of releasing the studio’s upcoming title, In The Valley of Gods, as a Valve game.
Additionally, Valve still owns the rights to the Left 4 Dead franchise, developed by Turtle Rock Studios. A couple months ago, Senior Level Designer role had been posted on the studio’s website calling for anyone “looking to work on a globally known game franchise,” which gave fans some hope that a new Left 4 Dead game was potentially in the works.

Finally, in November, Valve will be shipping Artifact – the company’s first full game since 2013. While 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:reception for the upcoming trading card game has not been stellar, we can at least see a silve🌱r lining in the fact that Valve is making its own games again.
While nothing has been confirmed, all signs are pointing to Valve becoming a major player in the video game development market again. It’s been a long road full of heartbreak for the fans of Valve’s most popular franchises, but hopes are certainly still alive – and possibly even renewed – as Valve commits to more exciting things to co🍒me over the next few years.
