Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines II will feature fewer clans than the original game, but the♛ developers have promised that at least two will be added for free after launch. It's likely that more will be released as paid DLC in the future or wi💙ll be included as part of the Season of the Wolf season pass.

The lore of the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop game is still being developed, but there are several clans that in the RPG that could be included in Bloodlines II. There are certain challenges to specific clans from the tabletop game for a video game, which could influence their chances of making it into Bloodlines II.

The Remaining Clans From The Core Rulebook (Caitiff, Gangrel, & Nosferatu)

Nosferatu Vampire the Masquerade

Bloodlines II is missing two of the clans from the first game - the Gangrel and Nosferatu. These are the front-runners for being added as DLC to the sequel, in order to bring in the other major clans from the core rulebook and♋ keep the game consistent with its predecessor.

In order to bring in the Gangrel and Nosferatu, the developers would need to add the Animalism and Protean disciplines. Animalism would give the player the ability to control animals, while Protean gives the player the ability🦩 to alter their body. The Gangrel are easy to include as their clan bane makes tᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚhem temporarily resemble an animal, but the Nosferatu clan bane would require a little more work, as merely being in the public is a Masquerade violation.

One possible addition to the game could be the Caitiff, which would bring in all of the clans from the core rulebook (assuming the Gangrel and Nosferatu also make it in). These are vampires w🌄ho belong to no clan, wh๊ich means that other Kindred have a severe distrust of them, due to a number of ancient prophecies that tie the clanless to the apocalypse. The Caitiff can choose their own disciplines, allowing for more customization options than other clans, with the caveat that it takes a lot more experience points to improve those disciplines.

Lasombra

In the current Vampire: The Masquerade lore, clan Lasombra has joined the Camarilla following the destruction of the Sabbat and the encroaching threat of the Second Inquisition. As such, they are now part of Kindred politics at large and could easily be a part of the story of Bloodlines II.

If the developers are going to add in the Lasombra, 💞then they will also need to include the Oblivion discipline, which mixes elements of necromancy and controlling shadows. This could make for a visually impressive set of powers. The Lasombra clan bane of not being able to properly interact with machines or cast a reflection might be tricky to implement, so they might be given another type of penalty as a replacement.

Banu Haqim

The other clan to join the Camarilla in the current edition of Vampire: The Masquerade is the Banu Haqim, which was formerly known as clan Assamite in previous editions of the game. Like the Lasombra, this gives them more of a reason to be involved in the story of Bloodlines II.

The Tremere have exclusive use of Blood Sorcery in the core rulebook (outside of the Caitiff) and in Bloodlines II, so th♑e Banu Haqim could be included to give more options for people who want to be thaumaturgists. The clan bane of the Banu Haqim involves having a hard time stopping when drinking from the blood of another Kindred, but this could be extended to mortals as well in order to make it more detrimental.

The Ministry

Vampire the Masquerade Follows of Set Ministry

The Ministry used to be known as the Followers of Set, and they have been mostly absent from the Vampire: The Masquerade video games. The reason for the name change is more due to branding tha𒁃n anything else, as the Ministry now presents itself as a friendly group that wants to be your friend, rather than the evil cult of snake-worshipers. They are still an evil cult of snake-worshipers, but they at least ease people into the heresy now.

If the Gangrel make it into Bloodlines II, then it increases the chances of the Ministry being included, as they now have the Protean discipline. The Ministry's clan bane of being⛄ affected by bright lights could be included by affecting their abilities in brightly lit rooms, but they might need some kind of additional bane if it's too hard to implement a light weakness. It's possible that they could be distrusted by Kindred NPCs, due to the deceptive history of their clan.
