There aren't a massive number of games that let you play as a vampire. For those gamers who happen to be fans of Interview with the Vampire or True Blood or Buffy or Van Helsing, there was a fairly well received title that allowed players to assume the character of a blood-sucking immortal.

Vampyr is an action RPG that came out in June 2018, developed by Paris-based Dontnod Entertainment. Launched on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (and later on Switch), the game sold surprisingly well. Our 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:review of the game, on Ni𒁃ntendo Switch, called it a "thrilling and inventive RPG experience&quo꧅t; but warned that the Switch port was pretty lousy, resulting in poor performance with terrible textures and framerates.

Now Xbox Series X a♒nd S owners have the chance to play Vampyr in 60 FPS and in resolutions up to 1440p, as a performance-enhancing patch has been released.

In Vampyr you played as Jonathan Reid, a doctor who was made into a vampire, wandering the misty streets of World War One-era London, stalking innocents. The London of Vampyr was an atmospheric creation with streets and sewers looking suitably spooky. There were dialogue trees and moral choices and the wonderfully creepy premise of helping out NPCS in order🌼 to boost their "Blood Quality" before you drank their stat-boosting blood.

It certainly hit a nerve (or should that be vein?) as Vampyr went on to sell over a million copies. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:TV rights ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚwere also picked up by Fox 21, to turn the game into a television series.

If you fancy some other games that let you play as a vampire, especially since Hallowe'en is coming up, you could consider Soul Reaver, Skyrim, Bloodrayne, or the legendary 2004 PC title Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, which has a cult-like following.

As for Vampyr, Xbox Series X/S owners can pick it up and enjoy an offbeat and original game. It may not appe𒀰al to all as the combat system felt a little under developed, especially in comparison to the game’s richly realis𒉰ed lore and story, but the historic setting, taking place around the time of the Spanish flu pandemic, is certainly worth experiencing, with plenty of different endings and moral choices to explore.
