Who doesn't love a fox? They come in all shapes, sizes, and colors and are so fluffy you might forget that you're not supposed to pet the forbidden dogs. And maybe that's part of our attachment to them — they're like dogs, but mystical. There's a reason foxes factor into so much folklore the world over.
And video games know it. There are plenty of foxes in video gam🥀es: some may act as guides to lost children, some are just trying 🍬to survive, and some are putting cups on their ears during their shift at the corner store. Either way, foxes are always a memorable addition to any media.
8 Redd (Animal Crossing) ꧂
We really get that "clever like a fox" energy from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Animal Crossing's Redd. But, don't worry; Redd is your cousin! You have nothing to worry about with him. He will totally sell you authentic, beautiful artwork at a discount, and he's never ever thought about offloading a fake onto you, not once!
Redd is memorable for many reasons — his design is very streamlined, especially compared to other Animal Crossing characters. He talks fast and with a unique tone and, for many of us, he barely ever came to our islands in New Horizons. We still love our cousin, of course. Though, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tom 🐬Nook may have some things to say about that.
7 F🍃ox McCloud (Star Fo🍸x)
If you think of the words "video game" and "fox" simultaneously, odds are Star Fox's main character, aptly named Fox McCloud, will spring to your mind. Who could blame you? This video game fox has been around for almost three decades, and even if you've never touched a Star Fox game in your life, odds are you've played Super Smash Bros at some point.
Fox is a leader, first and foremost. While he may not be super invested in the whole galaxy-saving thing, he always keeps his team level. Like many real-life foxes, he's a quick thinker with the ability to adapt to anything. Unlike many real-life foxes, he can also fly a spaceship and has a gun. Still iconic.
6 💝 Nana (Rime)
Foxes have a mystical allure; Rime uses that with your fox companion. While you won't know her name until the credits roll, Nana the fox is a core part of your journey through Rime.
After awakening her through fox idols you find at the beginning of the game, she will become your closest companion and guide through puzzles and dangers. It's clear the fox cares deeply for the boy, for you, and it's impossible to not get emotionally attached to her.
5 Ninetails (Okami) 💙 𒀰
The lord of Oni Island does not mess around. Okami gives you Ninetails, a massive fox who rules over the illusive demon stronghold. Cunning, devious and downright evil, Ninetails has been manipulating you for far longer than you realize by the time you're finally able to confront them.
And what a fight they put up. The other bosses may have given you trouble, but Ninetails is another thing entirely. After being so used to time freezing whenever you've used your brush, Ninetails shows you that you're not the only creature with such power. They are a challenging and brutal foe, perhaps the best boss fight in the game. Good luck.
4 Tunic (Tunic) ꦦ
Like another sword-wielding, green-clad hero, the fox from Tunic doesn't have a lot to say. Not that you could understand them if they spoke, considering the fictional, runic language Tunic employs for all its UI. None of that matters; the little red fox still leaves quite an impression, if only because of how adorable the little guy is.
And how that adorableness actively lures you into thinking the game will be easy. It won't. You're not coming out of this game unscathed. But, hey, we did say foxes were known to be cunning. The fox in Tunic is no different; the trick was just on you.
3 Mother Fox (Endling: Extinction Is Forever𒈔) 🌊
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Endling: Extinction Is Forever is a game about the struggle to survive. In it, you will play as a mother red fox, the last of her kind on the face of the earth, as you try to care for your pups after a forest fire destroys your home, forcing you to settle near humans. Feel the warmth in your chest when the mother fox comforts her cubs with a quick cuddle or when you bring back a meal. They have undeniable personalities, despite being regular fo🔴xes.
Red foxes are some of the most common animals in the world. Yet, Endling shows us a future where even a creature as adaptive as they fall victim to humanity's negligence. While the game may have worked with a variety of other animals, something about seeing a fox struggle to survive is harrowing.
2 Arctic Fox (Never Alone) ꦅ
There's a kind of cold that bites through you, burning your blood until you can think of nothing else. When you combine this cold with snow so thick you can barely see in front of you, you face a rather dire situation. Side-scrolling, co-op platformer 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Never Alone, a beautiful ꧒retelling of an Iñupiaq oral story, puts you in this predicament as a young h🀅unter named Nuna.
Fear not, however. You're lucky enough to have an arctic fox as your companion, and they will help guide you through the treacherous ice and snow. Whether the fox is being played co-op or is an AI, the fluffy creature remains a constant comfort to you and Nuna.
1 Gre🐈gg (Night In The Woods)
Gregg rulez, ok!? Gregg, from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Night in the Woods, somehow manages to stand out in a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:cast full of stand outs. A silly guy who works at the Snack Falcon corner store, he's Mae's best friend and the first person she'll seek out when she's back in town. Gregg doesn't have much impulse control and often suggests some truly wild activities (stabbing your own hands is certainly a way to spend some time). Still, his heart is always in the right place. He's impossible not to love, even when he's getting up to all kinds of mischief.
Despite his energetic, carefree personality, Gregg isn't all harmless delinquency and excitable exclamations. He has a lot of depth, which you can discover for yourself by deepening the friendship you share. By, you know, stealing the defunct grocery store's mascot. Hey, it works.
