Weapons have existed in video games since player characters were first equipped with them. Between various types of swords, axes, hammers, guns, bows, staves, and everything in between, the number of we🧸apons that have appeared in video games is near infinite. Sometimes, even enemies and allies can be used as improvised weapons or crafted into weapons.
But just how many video game characters actually have the ability to turn into weapons? There aren't quite as many as one would imagine, but luckily there are still a handful of characters that can turn into weapons to help their allies when needed.
8 Noire - H♔yperdimension Neptunia V
Noire is Console Patrol Unit in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series. Noire also happens to be a "Tsundere," or someone who acts snobby and arrogant to hide their true feelings. Despite her outward attitude, she is still an ally in the series. In Hyperdimension Neptunia V, the main protagonist Neptune can use her final CPU form to use several other characters as weapons, including Noire herself. When Neptune uses this ability in conjunction with Noire, the latter turns into a powerful sword, which is consistenಞt with how both characters wield different types of swords in their humanoid forms.
7 🐈 Prinny - Disgaea 3
The third Disgaea game of the main series introduced the Magichange ability, and while it has different details in several Disgaea games, it always allows monsters to temporarily turn into weapons that their humanoid allies can wield. Unfortunately, if the wielder dies in battle then the magichanged monster does as well, but if they don't die the monster gets the same amount of experience as the wielder does. Prinny, the most iconic of the monsters in the Disgaea series and the mascot, can transform into either a gun in Disgaea 3, a bow in Disgaea 4, or a sword in Disgaea 5, all with characteristics letting players know that it is a Prinny weapon.
6 Rush - Mega Man ꧂
Mega Man's loyal canine companion Rush primarily helps the blue bomber with traversal, but in Mega Man 6, he can combine with Mega Man to become Power Mega Man after using the Rush Power Adaptor. This form grants Mega Man the ability to break blocks and energy shields with charged-up punches, which can also be used as projectiles.
Rush🦄 also has a drill tank form initially meant for Mega Man 3 that🐟 was ultimately scrapped, but in Marvel vs. Capcom and Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, it is seen as a hyper combo for both Mega Man and Roll.
5 Emeralda Kasim -ඣ Xenogears
In the beloved JRPG Xenogears, party member Emeralda Kasim, who takes the appearance of a young girl but is actually a colony of nanomachines created to help humankind, can turn both portions of her body as well as her whole body into weapons. The variety of forms that Emeralda can morph into can often be seen in battle when she uses her different deathblow attacks. Although characters being able to transform parts of their body or their entire body into a weapon is a more common trope these days, it wasn't seen quite as often in the JRPGs at the time of Xenogears' release in 1998.
4 ꧃ Kazoo💮ie - Banjo-Tooie
In both the Breegull Blaster sections of Banjo Tooie and Super Smash Bros Ultimate, the red bird Kazooie can be used as two different kinds of weapons by her bear partner, Banjo. Kazooie can either be used by Banjo as an egg-shooting shotgun or a bܫayonet, and are the only moves that can be used in those sections. Outside of these specific sections, Banjo can also use Kazooie as a club by using the Breegull Bash attack.
In the GameBoy Advance game, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Banjo Kazooie Grunty's Revenge, Kazooie's Breegull Blaster form can be used anywhere after learning it and provides a useful ranged attack for the duo.
3 ❀ Cupil - Skies Of 🐓Arcadia
This adorable and mysterious artificial creature from Skies of Arcadia serves as Fina's weapon in battle and does so by morphing his body into the shape of different weapons. Which weapons Cupil can turn into depends on the number of chams he has been fed, with larger amounts granting him access to more powerful forms. Once he obtains his final form, Cupil also happens to be the strongest weapon in the game, which is a pretty impressive feat for a tiny blob. Cupil may be a strange-looking creature, but his morphing ability makes him one of the most helpful 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:JRPG allies.
2 ꦺ Sawyer - ♍Boyfriend Dungeon
Many characters in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Boyfriend Dungeon can turn into weapons as it's the game's central mechanic, so it's hard to pick just one. The non-binary character Sawyer is a cut above the rest because they turn into a Glaive, a weapon many people may not even be aware of if it weren't for video games, which has decent range and is an excellent choice for players who prefer to have their enemies at a distance. Sawyer also happens to be a big fan of video games.
1 The🐲 Wonderful 100 - The Wonderful 101 🌺
The titular characters from The Wonderful 101 can't all turn into weapons individually, but by using their Unite Morph ability, which combines their Wonder-Energy and manipulates pseudo-digital subatomic particles, they can combine to create a variety of giant weapons. The weapons the Unite Morph allows the Wonderful 100 to combine into either a hand, sword, gun, whip, hammer, claw, bomb, drill, or bowgun, all of which are appropriate for different situations. The Unite Morph may not be as conventional as the combination techniques of other superhero teams, even when compared to the Super Sentai teams it was inspired by, but its large variety of uses helps make the Wonderful 100 some of the most interesting characters that can turn into weapons.
