Wanna kill the Exploiter Orb in W🥃arframe? Here’s how to do it.
Before you even think about killing the giant Orb Mother that's part of the Operation: Buried Debts spe💛cial event, there's a few things you're going to need first.
Top of the list is a tough Warframe. Mesa, Inaros, Nezha, Rhino, Gara, Chroma, and Wukong are all good choices. In your primary weapon slot, you'll want something with good stopping power and accuracy at range. You'll use this weapon to pick off Coolant Raknoids before they can cool down the Exploiter 🌠Orb. In the secondary slot, the Catchmoon Kitgun is ideal for damaging the Orb Mother, while your melee weapon is best occupied by Redeemer Prime. In fact, a properly modded Redeemer Prime can take you through the entire fight single-handedly if you’re quick enough.
Since most of the fight is going to be spent with a Thermia Canister in your hand, prioritize having a good secondary weapon and a good melee weapon. C✃orrosive is the top element to deal damage to the well-armored Exploiter Orb, while the Coolant Raknoids will take more damage from radiation.
Last, but not least, you’ll need som﷽e Diluted Thermia to start the Exploiter Orb encounter. Make sure you have some from sealing Thermia Fractures in Operation: Buried Debts.
To start the fight, head to Fortuna’s backroom (that’s where Little Duck can be found) and s🌜el🌃ect Exploiter Orb from the briefing table. Then, head to the rightmost section of the Orb Vallis map to find Deck 12.
Exploiter Orb Phase 1
Once you've slowly marched your way through the opening section꧑ of Deck 12, search out the Thermic Condenser on the upper levels and deposit your Diluted Thermia. The Exploiter Orb will then announce herself and descend from a hole in the r𓂃oof. Shoot the rocks that she's holding on to in order to get her to fall to the bottom and begin the first phase of the fight.
In this phase, you'll need to destroy four heat vents that surround the Exploiter Orb's bulbous body. After you destroy the first one, she'll freeze the other three to defend herself. You'll 💟have to throw Condensed Thermia Canisters at the vents in order to thaw them out and then damage them.
There are four Thermic Condensers in the room that will periodically spit out condensed Thermia canisters. You'll have to fend off the constant onslaught of Raknoids as you search for one and grab a Condensed Thermia Canister. Then head back to the Exploiter Orb, huck it at a frozen vent, and once it's thawed, shoot the 𒅌vent. Repeat for all four vents to continue on to phase two.
Note that if you take too long, th🐈e Exploiter Orb will climb to the top of Deck 12 and send out a bunch of Coolant Raknoids. Just kill the Raknoids and she'll eventually make her way back down. Alternatively, you can scoot up to meet her using your Operator teleport ability.
Exploiter Orb Phase 2
Head out of Deck 12 to meet the Orb Mother right outside. You'll notice a gauge appear on the left side of your𒀰 HUD--this gauge represents how hot the Exploiter Orb♎ is. The objective is to fill the gauge so the Exploiter Orb overheats and becomes vulnerable.
Since you destroyed the Exploiter Orb's heat vents she'll eventually overheat on her own, but there are a few things you can do to speed up the process. First, destroy any and all Coolant Raknoids that spawn. If they get close to the Exploiter Orb, they'll splash her with coolant and make the heat gauge decrease. The other thing you can do i💃s use the empty canisters that the Coolant Raknoids drop. Take those canisters to any nearby Thermia Fractures to both seal the fracture and fill the canister. Hurl the Condensed Thermia Canister at the Orb Mother to make her heat up even faster.
After her heat gauge is full, the Exploiter Orb will collapse. That's your cue to rush up to her and execute a finisher that will cause a brief cutscene to appear of your Warframe tearing off a bit of the Exploiter Orb's outer shell. Do this two more times and you'll eventually behead the Exploiter Or♈b and cause her to activate a self destruct sequence.
The Exploiter Orb will drop rare Orb Vallis resources as well as Hildryn blueprints, ꦇso make sure to gather tho🐭se up quickly before the Exploiter Orb explodes!
