As the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Warhammer 40,000 universe has grown, so too have the Armies of Chaos. Here we take a brief look into some of the armies you can field in Warhammer 40,000 8th Edition. This guide will help you serve the Gods oꦓf Chaos to take the battlꦇe to the armies of man and beyond.
Chaos Daemons
Birthed by the very chaos gods themselves, the daemons are formidable foes. They are the true embodiment of ‘chaos’ and are the most formidable and loyal (to one of the four Ch𒅌aos Gods, Khorn, Tzeentch, Nurgle, and Slaanesh). These creatures are created from the very chaotic energy of the gods. The four gods seldom team up, each pursuing their own wants and desires, but sometimes they come together to launch a Black Crusade into the worlds of man. The daemons have no corporeal form, instead, they project a physical form into this world, by way of psychic energy. It is for this reason that a daemon never truly dies, it is merely🐠 banished back to the warp to be reabsorbed by their master or to regain strength.
Chaos Space Marines
The Horus Heresy heralded the defection of nine of the original 20 Space Marine legions from The Emperor's service. The corruption had begun many years prior but it was The Emperor’s favorite son Horus who was the catalyst for the events that unfolded. Following his defeat, the traitor legions and other Imperial forces loyal to the Chaos Gods withdrew into what is now know as Eye of Terror, a warp storm and gateway between realms. From here they continue to wage war, attacking all who stand in their way, even other forces of chaos who are not aligned with their chaos god. Of the nine traitors, only four have sworn allegiance to one of the chaos gods; Emperors Children to Slaanesh, World Eaters to Kho꧃rn, Death👍 Guard to Nurgle, and Thousand Sons to Tzeentch. The remaining five follow all the ideals of the Ruinous Powers under the banner of Chaos Undivided; Iron Warriors, Night Lords, Black Legion, Word Bearers, and Alpha Legion.
Death Guard
The Death Guard are a traitorous legion of Space Marines loyal to, and most favored by Nurgle and led by their Primarch Mortarion. He was found on the poisonous battlefield, able to breathe the toxic gasses by The Overlord of the planet Barbarus. Raised to be an heir, he rebelled upon the discovery that their prey was in fact the same species. Meanwhile, The Emperor had been looking for his children who had been spread across the galaxy by the forces of chaos. His search took many years but he eventually found Mortarion. Reunit꧒ed with his father, Mortarion became overseer of the world, but anger gripped his heart. The Emperor had slain The 🀅Overlord, denying Mortarion the right to prove himself. It was this anger that would pave the way for his corruption and pathway into chaos.
Upon succumbing to chaos and pledging allegiance to the god Nurgle, Mortarion and his legion of space marines were filled with the Destroyer Plague and Nurgle's Rot, a conta🤡gion that slowly warped and altered their bodies. Flesh and armor became one, their size increased and their skin was covered with pox; unclean and corrupted, the Plague Marines 🍌were born. Mortarion was granted the power of becoming a Daemon Prince and he continues to command the Death Guard.
Thousand Sons
The Thousand Sons, once loyal to The Emperor, are one of the nine Space Marine legions to rebel. The Thousand Sons had long made use of their psychic gifts in war but this flew agai♔nst The Emperor's doctrine of reason and the rulings of The Council of Nikaea. Under this edict, there was no place for the worship of gods or for arcane and mystic abilities. Despite this, Magnus and his troops continued their studies in secret. It was on the eve of Horus’ betrayal that Magnus had a disturbing vision. He felt he had no choice but to warn The Emperor, but given the vast distances and speed to which the events were unfolding, he had no other option but to use his psychic abilities to communicate with his father in spirit form. Breaking through the Psychic defenses of the Imperial Palace he was successful in delivering his message, but he had revealed his disobedience – his and his legion's psychic abilities. The Emperor did not believe that his favored son would betray him but his action towards Magnus would be swift. He commanded Leman Russ and his Space Wolves to put down this treachery. The battle of Prospero ensued and as the two brothers fought, Russ was on the verge of victory when Magnus uttered a word of power and spirited away his tr♏oops and surroundings to a planet deep within The Eye of Terror that they would now call home.
On the Planet of Sources, as it had become known, the corruption was evident. In an attempt to stop the mutations that the legion now faced, Chief Librarian Ahriman called together the senior Librarians. As one they cast a mighty spell and a giant storm engulfed the legion. Powerful arcs of electr🍸icity struck the hearts of the marines. As the storm subsided the horrific truth was revealed, those without psychic abilities haౠd had their bodies turned to ash and spirit stripped of will, their armor now sealed and soulless slaves to their sorcerer commanders.
Chaos Knights
The Chaos Kni🅺ghts are the remnants of an Imperial past, giant suits of armor in a larger mechanized form. They tower above ground troops and are capable soldiers in their own right, able to wipe out entire cadres of enemy forces. Once thought to be incorruptible, it was the machines themselves that opened the gateway for the fallen, the connection between man and machine allowing the corruption in. As the pilots were corrupted, so to were their houses; their loyalties differed with many pursuing their own agendas, but some stayed loyal to the same traitorous Space Marine legions. As well as the physical mutations experienced by the pilots so too were the machines corrupted. The chaos energy runs through the mech, corrupting the armor and weapons as well as altering the circuitry and AI systems.
