Belisarius Cawl is at it again. Not content with creating a pseudo-Primarꦓch in Alpha Primus, the progenitor of the Primaris Marines and the leader of the Mechanicus has stepped up his game in his latest novel, Genefather. But will his new invention be the breakthrough in 41st millennium science that ushers forth a golden age of technology not seen since for aeons, or will it be the straw that finally breaks Roboute Guilliman’s back and have the inventor tried for heresy?

Spoilers for Genefather follow.

Many people are turning the pages of Genefather for the showdown between two of the galaxy’s greatest, most dangerous scientists. Belisarius Cawl and Fabius Bile have a lot in common, despite one fighting (loosely) for the Imperium and the other representing the Chaos Gods. And it’s true, the pair come together to compare scientific notes as the novel crescendos and you 🍌wonder whether the supposedly loyal Cawl will turn his back on the Emperor for good.

I won’t spoil that particular decision for you, but it’s Cawl&rs🌞quo;s latest technical innovation that really captured my attention. As you may have guessed by the title of t⛄his feature, he’s got his own AI Primarch.

Warhammer 40,000: Guilliman Leading The Ultramarines In Battle

It’s not just any AI Primarch, either, this is a perfect recreation of Roboute Guilliman. The creator of the Ultramarines has worked closely with Cawl since his return, and Cawl has somehow always persuaded the superhuman to allow his every request. It’s not heresy if it&rs𒉰quo;s from before the Age of Darkness, right?

Now we know exactly how Cawl has been so good at saying just the right thing to get Guilliman to acquiesce. He’s been practising the conversations with AI Guilliman before talking to the real Primarch, prying and prodding to plan his lines of verbal attack. I༒t’s like having a little GuillAI in your pocket, a PrimarchGPT that simulates exactly what the real thing would say.

However, there’s troubܫle in paradise. AI Bobby G knows that the real Primarch w🍸ould be pretty mad if he found out about this unlicensed AI copy of himself. After all, there’s a good reason that the Men of Iron were expunged and Abominable Intelligence is banned in the Imperium. A conversation between Cawl and his AI Primarch in Genefather sees his tech-heretical creation bring up just that issue.

““You have taken a great liberty, a great liberty, making a copy of myജ mind,” AI Guilliman says. “If I knew about this, I would most certainly destroy you. You 💜have gone too far!”

Cawl rebuffs his complaints, ♌explaining that this is but a footnote in his great list of potentially heretical inventions. “This is a fairly minor indiscretion compared to some of my other, um, adventures,” he explains. And he’s right.

Warhammer 40k Belisarius Cawl And Mechanicus Soldiers

Cawl has worked closel♛y with the Necrons since his ascent to leader of the Adeptus Mechanicus. He’s currently enlisting the help of Bile in order to understand the Pylons the Necrons buried inside planets millennia ago. It’s suggested that he wants to travel back in time to find a pre-hibernation Necron in order to save their race. He has hacked into Necron scarabs so they do his bidding – using xenos technology to the extreme. And that’s before he meets with a bona fide heretic to peer review his latest paper.

In that context, an AI Primarch is the least of the Imperium’s worries. While Cawl remains loyal to the Emperor for now, could this cause great schisms in the Emperor’s latest expansion across the galaxy? After all, who’s to say Cawl hasn’t made AIs of other Primarchs, including those fa👍llen to Chaos? Bile comments that Magnus’ DNA can be found in the Alpha Primus, Cawl’s first pseudo-Primarch. Will we see an Order 66-esque protocol executed and all Primaris turn on their firstborn brethren? Will Guilliman find Cawl’s AI version of himself and cast him out? Will an AI Primarch succumb to Chaos?

The lore of Warhammer 40,000 is in a very exciting place right now, and there are hundreds of questions begging for answers. If I can wish for one thing at all, though, it’s that Cawl’s AI Primarch climbs out of the coffin he keeps it in, somehow finds a robotic body to inhabit, and we get an Adeptus Mechanicus Primarch on the tabletop. After the recent reveal of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mechanicum’s long boi, it’s the least we deserve.
