Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is a tactical RPG that follows members of the Adeptus Mechanicus, who are the scientists of the Imperium of Man. The Adeptus combine their knowledge of technology with a cult-like zeal and their Tech-priests take to the battlefield with some of the most advanced weaponry available to humanity. Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus puts the player in control of a group o﷽f Tech-priests who must salvage ancient technology from a Necron Tomb World, which means that each level has a ticking clock that signifies when the ancient Necron forces will awaken, leaving the Tech-priests with a limited amount of time to complete their missions.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus was initially ܫreleased ⛎on PC in 2018, but the game will be available on other platforms next year, as Kasedo Games has released a teaser trailer for the game that states that a console port will be coming in 2020.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus received a DLC expansion called Heretek in July, which added new abilities, story missions, and units to the game. It's currently unknown if the console port of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus will include the Heretek expansion or if it will be sold separately.

The teaser trailer only specified that Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus was "coming to console" without specifying the exact system or systems. It's likely that Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the game is low-spec enough f🐟or a Nintendo Switch port to also be p𓄧ossible.

Games Workshop has opened the floodgates in recent years in regards to video games based on the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 licenses, which has led to games of middling quality. Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus was well-received due to its fun gameplay that also managed to stay true ✨to the lore of the series, and the turn-based nature of the game means that a console port should work just as well as the original PC version of the game.
