History

Repelling the attacꩲks from the Chaos Gods, Sigmar was close to victory. He had pushed them back seven times already, the might🍷 of his warhammer Ghal Maraz, had dealt devastating blows time after time. But, it was on the eighth attack that Archaon saw his opportunity. Sigmar hurled his weapon at him in an effort to halt this charge, only for it to pass by harmlessly. As the illusion broke, Sigmar realized what he had done. Tricked that Archaon was riding towards him, he had thrown his warhammer into the abyss.

Rallying against Sigmar, Archaon and the Chaos Gods quickly won the battle and Sigmar retreated to his home in Azyr, sealing the gates shut behind🥂 him. Sigmar remained hidden in Azyr with all the Realms closed off to him. His rage simmered, waiti💝ng for the right time to be unleashed.

The 🍎Chaos Gods celebrated their victory; they now controlled all but one of The Realms and so began the Age of Chaos. The corruption spread quickly across the lands and it fed the desires of many. Those who sought power were easily corrupted, becoming the host for the creatures of Chaos. Daemons roamed the lands, quashing the seeds of revolution before they had the chance to sprout. All was lost, and it looked like The Chaos Gods would achieve the ultimate victory, the total annihilation of all that lives.

Beasts of Chaos

The corruption that the Chaos Gods brought is not just limited to the sent🌳ient species. It also had a profound effect on the fauna and flora of the Realms. This gave rise to the mutated creatures and beast-like humanoids that many say are the true children of Chaos. While beastmen of mammalian and avian descent make up the bulk of the beasts of chaos, they are joined by bull centaurs, chaos warhounds, giants & gargants, corrupted hybrids, and beasts such as 🌺the Chimera and Cockatrice.

The Blades of Khorne are comprised of the Khorne Bloodbound and Daemons of Khorne into a single, but deadly, fighting force. Th🏅eir allegiance, as the name suggests, lies with Khorne, the Blood God. Directed by their Chaos lords, Bloodbound mortals lead the charge into battle supported😼 by Bloodletters, Flesh Hounds and other humanoid sized daemonkin. If their foes are especially unlucky, then one of the many Champions of Khorne may make an appearance; Skarbrand, one such champion, is known to frequent battles regularly.

The Dis🉐cipleꦰs of Tzeentch are loyal to none other than their God, Tzeentch. Groups of cultists work in secret in the many cities scattered across the Realms, undermining the rulers from deep within. Avian humanoids known as the Tzaangor live in remote tribes, mounting regular raids on places of interest to their God. Their aim is to capture lost relics and knowledge of old, all to further the complex plans that Tzeentch has in store for all the Realms.

Tzeentch also goes by the names: The Changer of Ways, the Master of Fortune, the Great Conspirator, ꧃and the Architect of Fate. This should tell you all you ne🔥ed to know about his methods of infiltration.

Hedonites Of Slaanesh

Slaanesh is th🦄e perhaps the most subversive and treacherous of all the Chaos Gods. While the others rewarded those with ambition quickly, Slaanesh took a subdued path, planting small seeds within mortal hearts and minds. These seeds slowly manifested deep with his victim’s souls, corrupting from within without them ever noticing. As the corruption peaked, Slaanesh would feed his hunger by consuming the souls of his prey.

Slaanesh is currently absent from the Realms of Sigmar, as the Aelven Gods Ulg🦹u and Hysh have captured and trapped him far away, forcing him to slowly release the souls of those he consumed. Forever changed these souls once returned, often continue to serve their master. They are often Aelf-like in appearance, betraying what they once were, but the corruption is no less evident. Many have beast-like appendages; one might think that people would find this repulsive, but no, they are as alluring today as they once were.

Skaven

The Skaven are rat-like in appearance and follow their own God, the Horned Rat, who has allied himself with the Chaos🔯 Gods in their fight against a common foe. The Skaven have many clans across The Realms living in deep burrows. Each clan has its own specializations, fueled by one of the many aspects of their God. Some are plague bearers, spreading corruption across the lands and into the cities. Others are engineers, alchemists, and sorcerers, each using their skills to do the Horned Rat’s bidding.

Everchosen And Slaves to Darkness

The Everchosen have placed their allegiance with the God Archaon, also known as Everchosen. He himself has allied with four of the five ruinous powers and outranks all, save for them. Those who serve under him, do so under a banner of unification, the bringing together of the combined might of the chaos factions except for Skaven; Archaon detests the Ska🍌ven vermin. They are often led into battle by Archaon himself, rallied by his presence, they are all but an unstoppable force.
