Many esports fans dream of becoming a professional player, following in the footsteps of their gaming idols. Others just want to improve their in-ga𓆉me skills. Watching a player’s livestream may offer some insight as to how the pros play, but learning directly from the world’s best esports talents is an opportunity few can offer. TheGamer was able to speak with Victor ꦓFolmann, CEO and founder of GamerzClass - a platform that is turning this dream into a reality.

For the readers who don’t know, what is GamerzClass?

GamerzClass is an online learning platform dedicated to gamers who🃏 wish🦂 to improve their skills by learning from top tier pros. We make complete master courses for various titles such as Dota 2, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:League of Legends, FIFA, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Counter-Strike, and Fortnite. We work with the biggest names in the scene to kind of deep dive into their minds and seek to unders🃏tand what makes them so good at the games they play.

How was GamerzClass created, and what was the vision for the platform when it was first founded?

I remember back in my childhood I always wanted to be taught by the world’s best, but I could never really find the right place to gꦰo. I was spending hours and hours on HLTV trying to download .mp4s that I could watch through the c🔜onsole in CS 1.6. I spent endless hours on You💞Tube looking for grenade and aim tut🌄orials for CS:GO and countless nights watching streams to become a better player. I learned so many things on those channels, but I also reaไlized how more effectively I could have spent my time if there was a dedi𝐆cated platform for educational gaming content. That’s when my buddy Rasmus and I came up with this idea to help other like-minded gamers improve ♛their skills. Not something too cheesy, but we generally wanted to create somౠething that could be used as a complete guide on how to become a top-tier gamer.

The classes you offer are usually focused on a specific role within a game like mid laning, lurking, or entry fragging. How will that evolve as more courses are added? Will we see more courses teaching different playstyles for the same role?

Moving forward our biggest priority is to try to cover every topiꦛc, every subject,ꦆ every position of the games we are currently working on. For example, our Dota section is very emp♊ty at the moment𝔉, even though we have worked with a double TI winner N0tail. In League of Legends, we still don’t have a jungle course and I think you are 💃getting th🔴e idea.

However, this d♛oesn’t stop us from revisiting certain game aspects every once in a while. We are just now worꦯking on a course with Jensen for LoL even though we have worked with Froggen in the past. We want to give gamers the opportunity to learn from their favorite pros and not necessarily just from the best-performing or highest🌃-earning ones.

Is there any way for students taking the same or similar courses to practice with each other?

Sadly at the moment, we haven’t managed to focus on building something like this, but it’s on the to-do list. We’ll be launching our own discord server soon ♋to give our users a chance to get to know each other, play together and practice together. We feel it will ওalso help us keep in touch with some of our most active users and get better feedback so we know what they want to learn and who to sign next. Maybe we’ll even have some of the pros join the Discord server. I know a lot of people are interested in getting a chance to personally meet and 🌄talk with the pros and it would b💯e cool to build this bridge between the community and the pros.

Being able to learn from the best professional players is a very unique opportunity. How can students get the most out of the classes?

Honestly, we just offer the tools. It’s up to the students themselves to put in the hard work that is required in order to improve. Following a course will teach you certain tricks and will definitely change the way you think about the game. Students will learn about certain aspects o🧔f the game they might have not been aware of before starting a course, but they still need to practice themselves.

Our courses come with dow൲nloadable workbooks that contain exercises that show what and how to practice certain mechanics. Another great thing is that once you make a purchase, it’s yours for♋ever. So to get the most out of it, I’d recommend all our users practice one thing at a time and keep coming back to continue. Especially if you’ve been playing for a long time, you might fall back into old tendencies that might not be efficient so revisiting the lessons every now and then will definitely help maintain a higher le🐓vel.

Meta changes are very common in many popular titles, how does GamerzClass stay on top of that ever-changing and unpredictable aspect of esports?

This is a tricky subject that is proving to be one of ouꦓr big𒊎gest challenges, especially with how games like Dota 2 and League of Legends enjoy pushing out small patches every 2 weeks or so. In general, we try to find the right balance between very specific and too generic but it’s not always the easiest thing to accomplish. We want our courses to be valuable not only the first we✅ek but also 6 months down the line. Usually, we start with broad knowledge on how to master a certain aspect of the game and then give specific examples that show how to do that in the current patch.

You can see this with sOAZ or Odoamne.♊ They both teach through the perspective of a few ch𒀰ampions in League of Legends t🐠hat are relevant to that meta, but the principles of laning, trading, basing, team fighting, and macro play will probably be the same even if that champion is not as strong a few months after the course release.

When starting GamerzClass, did you ever imagine players like N0tail, Froggen, or NBK- teaching courses?

Well, it’s funny you ask because Froggen was actually the first GamerzClass we ever made. I always wanted to learn from the best, so when Rasmus & I came up with this idea, we reached out to as many pros as we could on Twitter and Froggen w𒉰as the only one who responded.

To some extent, wꦿe all have to thank Froggen because maybe without him, we wouldn’t be here today. Of course, after that, we never expected to be working with all of the greates🎃t names in the history of esports, but I had always dreamed of it and all of them are players I remember watching while growing up.

Are there any players you haven’t worked with yet that you would like to see teach a course in the future?

Oh yes, definitely. There are so many more players I’d like to work with or even just simply meet and shake their hands. Just t꧂o name a few, it would have to be all of the boys from Astralis, although I have to admit this might just be my🤡 Danish bias.

As for other games, it would be great to do some more with the ꩲOG Dota squad or Nigma. I know a lot of our students wouldꦬ love to see Nigma.Miracle- teach a course and to be hones🐈t, so would I.

On a similar note, you offer a lot of courses in more popular esports titles like League of Legends and CS:GO. What other games would you like to branch into?

We plan to make 2020 even crazier than last year and this is something we are thinking about a lot recently here at GamerzClass. Although we cover the most popular games at the mo𓂃ment, I feel like there’s a huge gap for learning content in 🐼games such as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Apex Legends, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Rainbow 6 Siege, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Rocket League, PUBG, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:OverwatchThese are all titles we’re exploring at the moment and hope to get into this year. At the moment we’re still doing research to see w💟ho would be best suited to represenౠt GamerzClass and deliver the most value in these games.

We’re also trying to diversify as much as possible and maybe we will do something in the fighting game genre or mobile le꧑gendꦿs, or even for the speedrunning community. Who knows. What I want the most is for people from all over the world to be able to come to GamerzClass and learn to get better at their game, no matter which one it is and for how long they have been playing.

A League of Legends course hosted by Team Liquid’s Jensen will be available soon. What can students expect from that course?

Jensen is arguably t๊he best mid laner in LCꦅS at the moment and we plan on it being one of our top courses for League. You can expect to learn everything that has to do with playing the mid lane and mastering it as close to perfec🃏tion as possible. Students will learn all of the usual things we cover in such a course such as matchups, champions, roaming, solo queue tips and then there wꦍill be a few secrets that only the best players like Jensen are using.

During the shoot of this course, we had access to LCS replays so we’ll be going over som♏e of Jensen’s games through his perspective. This means he’ll be analyzing and explaining step by step what is going through his mind, what he is thinking and how he approaches different situations.

How much does it cost to enroll in a GamerzClass course right now?

Usually, our courses go🃏 for $60, but we’re always running some sort of promotion and as we speak everything is 50% off. If you checಞk our social media pages, you can maybe even find some additional discount codes here and there and get an even better deal. Otherwise, one could purchase a full access pass for 89$ a year and get access to every existing♋ & upcoming course. Oh, and we plan on r﷽eleasing +30 new ones this year.

Can you give any hints as to what courses will be available in the future?

I’m sorry, I won’t be able to give you any specific names right now, but what I can say is that we are cur♛rently talking with all of the biggest orgs out there - OG, Fnatic, Team Liquid, FaZe Clan, Team Secret, Nigma, NRG, SK-Telecom, TSM and probably som🐻e more that are escaping my mind. What I can say is that it is going to be insane and we want to build a more complete portfolio for Dota 2 as it’s start꧑ing to become one of my favorite games right now.

T🐈hank you to Victor for taking the time to speak with us. GamerzClass can be found on Twitter, Instagram, F💞acebook, and YouTube @GamerzClass.
