Wave Break, an upcoming 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tony Hawk-inspired melting pot of ideas, looks like something that I might have come up with when I was 13-years-old. And I mean that in the best way possible. The game compiles the best aspects of many different genres, and it looks like it's going to be🌳 a blast to play.

Often times, it's fairly easy to compare a new property to another game out there that might be more recognizable to a wider audience. For example, Saints Row might be called a "GTA clone", or Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order might be relayed as, "Star Wars meets Dark Souls". With Wave Break, however, ♛quantifying the gam🅷e with just a few other titles is pretty difficult.

The Tony Hawk franchise is probably the closest comparison you can make, but simply measuring Wave Break to the classic sk﷽ateboarding series would be selling it short by a mile. Sure, you'll be skateboarding, but you'll be doing so on a boat while playing a cartoon animal that's carrying a gun as it surfs across a 1980's-inspired landscape while decked out in attire of the same era. Have I caught your attention yet?

Of course, those familiar with the Tony Hawk series will be able to quickly catch on to Wave Break's controls, and according to Funktronic Labs co-founder, Kalin Houston, the game will feature many recognizable skateboarding tricks. That being said, busting out a kickflip as Eric Koston in a Tony Hawk game isn't quite the same as bu😼sting out a kickflip as a sunglasses-sporting, pistol-wielding bear on top of a boat.

Things really start to get exciting when the special tricks come into play though. Houston hinted that the team, "went wild", with the special trick animations, and it sounds as if some of these moves will give the game a spectacular flare of its own. While all this sounds exciting, it merely scratches the surface of everything that makes up Wave Break.

Similar to the Tony Hawk series, Wave Break will offer a Trick Attack multiplayer mode that allows you to compete against other players to see who can combo the best tricks together and reach the highest score. There will also be a Deathmatch mode, which looks to combine third-person shooters and skateboarding games in a 🐲way that we've never seen before.

After launch, Wave Break also looks to add a Turf War mode, which sounds reminiscent of the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas gang war♑ mechanics. One team will occupy and co🌱ntrol various areas of the map while growing their gang and defending their turf from opposing factions. Although it's uncertain what the mode will look like yet, on paper, it sounds like loads of fun.

Houston explained that while Wave Break was incredibly fun to develop, it certainly required plenty of hard work at the same time. The team designed a custom rendering system from the ground up for the game's physics-based water simulation, and it's clear that the Wave Break's overall presentation took some time to polish.

Despite receiving a TechRaptor Best of E3 nomination back in 2019, the Funktronic Labs team stated that the controls have vastly improved since the showcase. It's clear that the developers set out to not only make this a vastly entertaining and original game but that plenty of hard work was put in to guarantee that its mechanics are just as impressive as its presen🅺tat🌌ion.

Overall, it's hard not to get excited about Wave Break. The game has plenty of potential to be one of the most entertaining indie games of the year, and it will be fun to see how all of these elements are combined when the title finally launches. Expect to see Wave Break on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Google Stadia before the end of th♛e summer, with a releas🃏e on all other major platforms in the near future.
