For whatever reason, there now exists a web browser extension that will translate any ๊webpage into Pikachu.
If there’s one thing that has remained mostly true throughout Pokémon history, it’s that ind♓ividual Pokémon communicate by saying their own name over and over again. There are a few exceptions in the anime, where some cute Pokémon such as Emolga tend to just maꦐke adorable squeaking sounds rather than say “Emolga” over and over again, but by and large, Pokémon speech is just their name.
This leads to a larger question as to whether the Pokémon was named by a r💎esearcher or by themselves after said researcher heard them talking, but that’s beside the point.
The point is, if y✅ou want to read the world through the eyes of a Pikachu, you can. Thanks to Warner Bros. France, there’s now a ඣweb extension that will translate all text written on a page into Pikachu’s language, which is mostly just “Pika Pika.” A lot.

As first reported by Serebii, your one-stop source for all things Pokémon, Warner Bros. France produced the web extension for both and to celebrate the upcoming release of Detective Pikachu, which arrives in theatres on May 10th.
Downloading the extension turns every website into a fun game of wondering ♐just what the hell a Pikachu is trying to tell you without the benefit of any body language or gestures. It turns out that Ash’s rapport with his own Pikachu is pretty astounding as he’s generally able to figure out what his Pokémon is saying just from a single made up word.
Things are a bit easier for Tim in Detective Pikachu. After teamin♔g up with his missing father’s Pikachu, Tim learns that he can undꦜerstand him just as easily as though he were speaking English. However, only Tim seems to enjoy that power as everyone else just hears the usual “Pika Pika” coming out of Detective Pikachu.
Detective Pikachu 🔜will feature over 60 live-action CG Pokémon when it arrives in theatres on May 10th.
