Ishin, a Yakuza spin-off title released in Japan only, is getting a full release titled Like a Dragon: Ishin. This version will launch across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and will include newer characters from Yakuza 0, 6, and 7. It's been described as an "all-star cast" of the most popular characters in the games released after Ishin's original launch.
The original Ishin only had classic Yakuza characters when it launched in Japan. As well as adding in new characters, Like a Dragon: Ishin will feature updated versions of some of the game's original cast to reflect their actors' looks better.
Li𒀰ke A Dragon: Ishin is due to come out on February 21, 2023. The original was released in Japan only in 2▨014 on PS3 and PS4. Set in Japan between 1853 and 1867 during the end of the late Edo period, the game sees well-known Yakuza characters take on the mantels of historical figures, providing a Yakuza spin on the time period.

While the reveal trailer didn't actually reveal much, Ryu Ga Gotoku told us a little more. Yakuza 8 will be a dual protagonist game, switching between Ichi and Kiryu, and it will also be a turn-based RPG, following on from the way Like a Dragon switched the series' combat up back in 2019.
Also announced was news of a game that would explore what happened to Kiryu between Yakuza 6 and Like a Dragon. Titled L🔴ike a Draꦕgon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, it will launch in 2023.
