Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham trilogy is coming to Nintendo Switch, including all DLC for the three games. The announcement at this week’s Nintendo Direct has prompted Twitter to start making memes about how ⛄the Switch is likely to explode upon starting up the games, and how bad they’re expecting the performance to be. I’m not intending to replay them on Switch, so I don’t care. But what I do care about is the Batmobile – specifically, how much I hate it, and I’m using this as an opportunity to finally say it loudly and proudly. The Batmobile sucks, and we are all right to hate it.

I’m so sorry to Batmobile defenders – 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:James Troughton, especially. I didn’t even realise this was a popular opinion, as when I fi🌺rst played ♒Arkham Knight years ago, I was blissfully unplugged from online gaming communities. I was simply forming my own Batmobile beef, unprompted by discourse, festering with what I thought was a take nobody else seemed to share. Imagine my surprise when one day, I dug up what others had said and found that, for once, gamers were on my side. The Batmobile is the worst.

Here’s the thing – I like doinไg Batman shit. Gliding is fun. I get that the Batmobile is part of the whole thing, and it didn’t bother me as a traversal tool. Speeding around in the streets is fun. It’s like , but instead of committing crime, you’re fighting it. But my god, those Riddler levels? It’s rare that a game makes me seethe with resentment, but boy, did I seethe. I could feel my blood pressure rising. I did not want to race, redoing it over and over again till I succeeded so I could get that sweet, sweet achievement, I wanted to go back to kicking asses and jumping off buildings. Batman isn’t a Fast and Furious character, so why the hell was I trying to finagle my stupid car in just the right way so I could finish these side missions?

Just thinking about it pisses me off all over again. As James says in their defence of the gigantic car, it was something completely new. The previous games didn’t have a Batmobile, but I liked it that way. The game was designed to integrate the Batmobile, so you’d have to use it – gliding alone wouldn’t cut it, speed-wise. I’ll be honest, I don’t like driving in games very much, which already pits me again✨st the Batmobile, but it just doesn’t feel good. I didn’t hate it enough to completely forgo using it, especially since the Batmobile is much faster than gliding, but I definitely thought about giving up on it altogether.

The Batmobile was just one of myriad things I didn’t like about Arkham Knight. I don’t think about it often, and I have never felt the urge to replay it afte🐲r finishing it the first time. It wasn’t a bad game, but it was repetitive, and whenever I think about it, all I feel is the flash of heat that accompanies anger. The Batmobile ruined Arkham Knight for me, and I can’t wait to see it annoy a whole new group of gamers when they play it on Nintendo Switch and remember, or maybe even learn for the first time, just how ******* annoying Batman’s iconic vehicle is.
