The most recent patch for VALORANT hid a huge quality of life change for one of Cypher's abilities among buffs and nerfs for oth༺er characters.

Cypher is one of the more popular characters in VALORANT because he requires 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a lot of technical knowledge to play well. The Moroccan spy excels in providing his team with information about where their enemies are, thanks to the fact that each of his abilities has the poteꦿntial to reveal where on the map his opponents are.

His main ability is Spycam, a remote-controlled camera that Cypher can use to tag enemies, allowing his team to see them through walls until the marked player removes a dart from their body. He can also carry 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:two Trapwires, an invisible t🌱rap that reveals enemies that walk through it, slows them, and slightly damages them if they don't destroy it in time. During his ultimate, Cypher throws his hat onto a dead enemy, marking all remaining enemies on the map for a brief duration.

The ability that saw a slight tweak was Cypher's Cyber Cage, a small, invisible disc that he can throw on the ground. After placed, Cypher can activate it to turn on a cylindrical wall of light that acts like smoke, blocking the vision of players inside and outside the cage. The Cyber Cage also makes a noise when an enemy walk♔s through the wall, allowing Cypher and his team to know when enemies push through a choke point.

One of the best uses for Cyber Cages is to set up one-way smokes. When placed properly, usually on a ledge above a doorway, the wall of light will allow defenders to see attackers' feet while completely blocking their vision. A one-way can be devastating, as there is virtually no way for an attacker to counter it. They can either wait for the smoke/cage to dissipate, or try 𒊎to push through it and inevita💦bly be picked off by a waiting defender.

The problem with setting up one-ways as Cypher, prior to , was that a Cyber Cage could not be picked up after thrown. During the buy phase, while a Cypher is trying to set up his one-ways, if he didn't align the throw correctly the Cyber Cage would simply fall to the ground, usually in a somewhat useless spot that doesn't entirely block a choke point. Additionally, the method through which Cyber Cage is activated can take some getting used to. When playing as most charact🔴ers, a player will press a button to equip the ability and then use their primary fire button to activate it. Cyber Cages are thrown immediately upon the ability button press.

Thanks to update 1.04, Cypher can now pick up his cag𒀰e during the buy phase. While this may not initially sound like a huge change, it will🌳 make a huge difference to a lot of Cypher mains. Since the ability isn't equipped and the cage is immediately thrown, accidentally brushing a finger against the ability button will no longer result in a wasted ability. It also makes setting up difficult one-ways much more forgiving, as players now have more than two chances to correctly line up their crosshair in the correct spot.

It is a very small change, but a very welcome one in the VALORANT community. It makes a lot of sense. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Viper's Poison Cloud, a smoke grenade, already featured the ability to be picked up after deployment. Hℱopefully, Riot Games will hear the positive feedback for this change and apply it so similar abilities in the game, like Raze's Blast Pack.

At the current update rate, players can expect the nex🥃t set of 🗹patch notes to release on August 4, with patch 1.05 being pushed to servers on August 5.
