With its release just weeks away on July 17, is gearing up for launch after a brief delay – it was initially planned to release June 26, which would have left it coming out just days after The Last of Us: Part 2. Now that July is right around the corner, th💜ough, it's time to take another look at this immersive historical fiction game.
Ghost of Tsushima is set in the year 1217 on the titular island of Tsushima. The player must take control of Jin, one of the last surviving samurai after an attack on the island, and reclaim it through stealth, combat, and determination. From the trailers and gameplay we've seen thus far, players are i🌌n for a cinematic, action-packed expe♔rience when they finally get their hands on the much anticipated PS4 exclusive.
If you pre-order it, you'll get some digital rewards and treats fꦛrom the production team to go along with that excellent experience. Any player who preorders the standard game will get a PS4 avatar and dynamic theme in addition to a selection of songs from the game on a "mini-soundtrack" of sorts. Spring for the $70 Digital Deluxe version🍨 and you'll get a second dynamic theme, an in-game skin set, access to digital director's commentary and an art book, and an in-game charm and extra technique point. For $10, it's not a bad haul of bonuses.
Getting the retail Special Edition gives you the same bonuses except the complete skin set (the physical edition only gives you the skin for the mask and sword) and a handy steelbook case for your physꦓical copy of the game. There is also, of course, the highly expensive and sought-after collector's edition, providing a deluge of extra physical memorabilia for diehard fans, but it has long been sold out at the time of writing.
If you are trying to get your hands on it, it comes with everything from the above editions, a replica mask and stand, a four-and-a-half foot long war banner, the full 48 page physical art book , a cloth world map, and a patterned wrapping cloth. Whichever version o🌺f the game you decide to get, it'll be available to play on the PS4 starting July 17th.
