The Icetusk is the frozen subspecies of the Kingtusk in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Wild Hearts. This giant boar makes a return, this time coated in the frost and ice of the snowy mountain region surrounding Fuyufusagi Fort. The Icetusk is very ﷺsimilar to the Kingtusk, and will use similar attacks in its fight.
Despite their similarities, don't expect this battle to be just like the Kingtusk fight. There are a few new things that you'll need to be careful of. Below, we'll take a look at each of the Icetusk's weaknesses and attacks, and some strategies for beating it.
Icetusk - Strengths And Weaknesses
- Attribute - Water
- Soft Parts - Head
- Attribute Weaknesses - Fire
- Ailment Weaknesses - Fatigue
- Attribute Resistances - Water
- Ailment Resistances - Poison, Ablaze, Frozen, Entangled
- Physical Effectiveness - Pummel, Lunge
The Icetusk is weakest to Fire attribute damage, but completely resists Water attribute damage. The Fatigue ailment has moderate success against the Icetusk, but the other ailments are either fully resisted or not effective enough to use.
The Icetusk is weakest to damage on its head, but due to its size, this area can be hard to hit, especially when its tusks are in the way. Its tail takes a bit less damage than its head, but is much easier to hit, especially for melee weapon users, and the backside of this Kemono is generally much safer than its front.
As with the Kingtusk, the Bulwark fusion Karakuri is very effective at dealing with the Icetusk's charging attack, as it can repel the Kemono's attack and create a large window of opportunity to attack. The Spring Karakuri will also help you quickly get out of danger from a few of the Icetusk's sudden attacks.
Best Equipment To Fight Icetusk
The Icetusk uses physical and elemental damage in equal measure, so be sure to equip armor that can handle both. For now, the Snowflake armor set is a good option due to its decent normal and Water attribute defense, as well as the Frozen Resilience skills.
If you are fighting the Icetusk later on, a combination of its own armor, the Bandit set, and the Argent set, crafted from Deathstalker materials, will provide great defense and good skills for taking down the Icetusk.
Be sure to equip the highest damage Fire attribute weapon you can craft. Weapons in the Lavaback line will dea♐l great damage to the Icetusk. Alternatively, a high-damage weapon with no attribute can work as well.
Icetusk - Fight Breakdown And Moves
The Icetusk has a similar move set to its parent species, although with a few key differences. Most importantly is the Icetusk's ability to launch chunks of ice off its body with a few of its attacks. If these hit you, you will start building up the Frozen ailment. When this fills all the way, your stamina will regenerate much more slowly, making it harder to dodge. Avoid this by playing carefully when the Icetusk launches its ice, and proactively equip armor with skills that lessen the impacts of Frozen.
By shaking its body, the Icetusk will launch chunks of ice around the area, inflicting Frozen if they hit you. This attack can largely be avoided by quickly moving underneath the Kemono, as the area of effect of this attack reaches wide, but not under itself. Hide under the Icetusk and hit its legs while it's shaking off ice, and yo🧜🐼u can turn this dangerous attack into an advantage.
Similarly, the Icetusk's trample attack has it stay in place while trampling the area and throwing off ice chunks. However, this attack can't be avoided by moving under the Kemono, so you'll need to use a Spring Karakuri to get away. There's a small opening to attack when the Icetusk stops trampling, but be careful about approachin🌼𝓰g before the attack is finished.
The Icetusk's most dangerous attack is its tusk slam. Like the Kingtusk, the Icetusk will stand on its back legs, raising its head high into the air before slamming it to the ground, dealing massive damage in a large area. Even with full health and good defense, this attack will be extremely dangerous, so do your best to avoid it, using a Spring Karakuri to move near the Icetusk's back legs and waiting for the slam.
When enraged, the Icetusk's tusks will grow even larger and glow red. During this phase, its tusk attacks will have an increased area of effect, and its tusk slam will be even deadlier. Additionally, upon entering enrage, the Icetusk will blast the area around itself in ice, dealing massive damage. When red energy begins gathering around the Kemono, quickly get out of the area to avoid this attack.
