The Spineglider makes use of its surroundings to dart around the battlefield, always looking to put you in a corner. If you want to beat this Kemono, you'll have to use tools of your own. Below, we'll take a look at the Spineglider's weaknesses, the best equipment to use to fight it, and each of its attacks.

Spineglider - Strengths And Weaknesses

  • Attribute - Water
  • Softest Part - Body
  • Attribute Weaknesses - Wood, Fire
  • Ailment Weaknesses - All Equal
  • Attribute Strengths - Wood, Earth
  • Ailment Strengths - All Equal
  • Best Weapon Damage - Pummel

The Spineglider is a Water attribute Kemono that is weakest to Wood and Fire attacks. Unlike other Kemono, the Spineglider's weakest part is its body, not its head. 🅠All ailments are equally as effective as each other, at three stars.

Pummel damage works the best, but Slash and Lunge are not far behind. Additionally, the Spineglider resists Water and Earth attribute🅷 attacks, so keep this in mind when ๊planning your equipment.

Best Equipment To Fight Spineglider

basara armor crafted from kingtusk materials

Due to its high number of Water Attribute attacks, wearing armor that resists this element will provide the best defense. The Basara armor set, crafted with Kingtusk materials, is a great choice for this fight, due to its high innate and Water attribute defense. If you upgrade this set to its Human-path, you can unlock a few nice skills as well.

A Wood or Fire Attribute weapon will deal the best damage, like the ones crafted from the Kingtusk or Ragetail lines. The weapon type you use depends entirely on which one feels ไthe best to play, as all damage type🐻s are roughly equal against the Spineglider.

Spineglider - Fight Breakdown And Moves

spineglider inflating its tail into a water balloon

The Spineglider mainly uses its massive tail for its attacks, either by swinging it around in a circle or filling it with water to shoot out. Because of this, breaking its tail can make this fight much more manageable, as its main method of attack is now less effectiv꧅e.

The Spineglider has two tail attacks to watch out for. This first is a simple tail swipe in which it turns slightly to attack the area to its front. Dodge into the Kemono to get a hit or two in, but don't expect this window to be open for long. Its second tail attack has the Spineglider rapidly and repeatedly spinning around, slashing in a full circle with its tail. This attack can be difficult to avoid, but a Spring Karakuri will enable you to get out of the way.

Throughout the fight, the Kemono will quickly fire pellets at you. These don't deal much damage, but they will flinch you for a moment, which the🦂 Kemono will then use to get closer or attack.

Earning a finishing blow against the spineglider

After the Spineglider has taken a bit of damage, it will enrage, increasing the size of its tail as it fills it with water. When enraged, the Kemono's attacks will be empowered and it will even use new ones.

The main difference in the enrage phase is the Spineglider's ability to create rock pillars. After creating one, it will jump onto it and repeatedly fire pellets at you before jumping off and attacking. Luckily, if you have the Spring Karakuri equipped, you can awaken to the Pounder Fusion Karakuri, made with three Springs in a column. With this device, you can deal a chunk of damage to the Spineglider while knocking it off its pillar.

Additionally, the Spineglider will fill its tail with water all the way, enabling it to bounce around on its water balloon-esque tail. The Spineglider will then attempt to bounce on top of you with it, dealing high damage. The best way to escape this attack is to use a Spring Karakuri to get far away, as the Spineglider will repeat its bounce a number of times before its tail returns to normal.

While enraged, the Spineglider's usual tail swipe attack will be empowered. Now, it will have an increased area of effect, and it will follow up with a second swipe♉. Dodge twice to the side of the Kemono to avoid this combo.
