It re𝓀ally depends on the players to navigate their support pick to victory. Though it also depends on having a team of competent players to support.
As of Patch 2.2a, the popular supports can be divided into two categories based on their role: engage supports or enchanter supports. There are some poౠke mages who can fill the support role, but the traditional mage supports have not yet been added to the game. Although there are probably some other niche picks, this tier list will document the most common supports.
S-Tier Engage Supports - Galio & Braum
Although he's technically a mage, Galio fills a perfect role as a support. His kit is incredibly strong, and his base damage numbers are rather absurd. He also packs a ton of utility, engage, and peel to enable his carry to succeed. Roaming through the use of Heroic Entrance is also easy as pie, giving him pressure around the whole map. This is a reason why 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:he's also so great as a midlaner.
Braum fills a more traditional supportive role. He's only as strong as the team around him, but he keeps everyone safe. His passive, Concussive Blows, gives him and an ally the ability to stun everyone that gets tapped once. His shield gives him the ability to negate many powerful abilities and deny the enemy carry free damage. His ultimate𒁃 is also a game-changer and is available to be used from any angle. He's versatile and a great lane partner.
S-Tier Enchanters - Seraphine & Nami
The two enchanters at the top are great for different reasons. Seraphine is just an absurd character in general, capable of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:play in both support and mid. As a support, she's able to peel with ease, poke with ease, and create huge plays. Her ultimate, Encore, is also 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a complete game-changer. It'll take a lot of nerfs to get 🎀her out of high prior𒁏ity.
Nami is a more theoretical champ. Healinꦐg, in general, is fairly weak in Wild Rift. But a heal is only a fraction of Nami's strengths. The power of Aqua Prison cannot be denied, especially during early laning and chaotic teamfights. Her passive movespeed buffs also mean a lot more considering the cramped nature of the map. She puts out a surprising amount of damage and needs to be respected in lane.
A-Tier Engage Supports - Alistar & Blitzcrank
These supports have an immense amount of pressure and power but are rather one-dimensional. They're not bad in any way and are both capable of winning games through playmaking prowess. Alistar is a great example of this. His CC combo is smooth to execute, and with Ign꧂ite he can pressure opponents in lane. His teamfight presence is hard to ignore as well, mak💟ing him an annoyance for many enemies.
Blitzcrank needs no introduction. Any player of any skill can play Blitzcrank. Blitzcrank is a fairly safe pick, and his engage isn't the best. However𝓰, his Rocket Grab has incredible power. Blitzcr🧔ank can go through the entire laning phase, miss every hook, but land just one and turn the whole game around. That amount of power loaded into one ability makes him a great pick in any comp.
A-Tier Enchanters - Lulu & Lux
The first enchanter is Lulu. She has a couple of 168澳洲幸运5开奖☂网:differ🌃ences from her appearance in PC League, but she still has many of the same strengths. If there are ever any pesky assassins 🅘causing problems, Lulu is the antidote to their poison. She has shields, hard CC, and her Wild Growth will keep any ally safe from immediate danger. She also has incredible poke during the laning phase, making h𝐆er a versatile pick.
Lux is one of the few true🐻 mages that is played in the support role. Her strengths are similar to what she offers in mid lane. Her damage combo can erase a target, and her ran🌠ge lets her do so safely. Her shield has tremendous value in the support role and allows her to pick up and abuse the best support items. Plus, she can carry if the ADC hasn't got the juice.
B-Tier Engage Supports - Leona & Rakan
These two engage supports are more situational. They have their strengths but also have a number of weaknesses that keep them from the top. Leona, for example, is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one of the definitive engage supports. S🌌he provides high damage and lockdown. A well-played Leona 𒀰can lock a target down with ease. However, she lacks early game pressure and can get poked out of lane.
Rakan is one of the squishier engage supports. His statline reads more like an ench🍰anter, but his kit is absolutely not. Rakan wants to get in, cause mayhem, and get out. With the amount of damage champions can deal in Wild Rift, getting out is far from easy. This makes Rakan a weaker pick, but he can still dominate a game if gi🔯ven the space to.
B-Tier Enchanters - Janna & Sona
The traditional enchanter supports are straight-up weaker than their more damage-oriented counterparts. Healing sucks and is easily countered, and being squ♛ishy against so many high-damage threats is a recipe for disaster. However, these champions still have value. Janna, for instance, is exactly as good as she is in PC League. She's a reliable pick, capable of protecting allies but not a whole lot else.
Sona, on the other hand, is a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:bit more underrated. Sona is a scaling support, one that gets stronger over the course of the game. She needs time to buy items to amplify her spells and allow her to spam. She requires good positioning to navigate through a game but is capable oꦫf performing miracles. Unfortunately, getting countered by 1000 gold makes her less effective, and Seraphine is almost always a💖 better pick.
C-Tier Engage Supports - Malphite & Pantheon
The worst engage supports are champions that are better fit for other roles. For example, Malphite is occasionally seen in the support role. His ultimate is incredible, and it is possible for Malphite to enable a champion like Miss Fortune to succeed. However, his poke is expensive and so are his items. He's a better fit as a top laner, and is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:rather underrated in the role.
Pantheon is an unconventional support as well, and the only AD support currently in the﷽ game. He's strong through point-and-click CC and his damage-negating shield. H🔯owever, without items, he falls off fast and can get easily killed in fights. One bad trade early on makes Pantheon useless in lane. He's a situational pick for AP heavy comps, but shouldn't really be picked otherwise.
C-Tier Enchanters - Annie & Soraka
The first character isn't even really an enchanter. Annie is absolutely a midlaner pretending to be a support. She provides high damage, and her lockdown can be rather dangerous to combat. However, unlike in PC League, her damage is much less reliable for laning. She lacks the poke to get enemies into lethal range. It requires a🍬 great Tibbers stun to get anything done.
The worst enchanter and possibly the worst support in the game is Soraka. This champion, if left alone, is probably higher on the list. She can run around and save allies like the ambulance she represents. However, her ไbiggest counter is only 1000 gold. Mages and marksmen get the ability to shut down healing significantly, and her numbers after that aren𒊎't strong enough to make up for her inability to do anything else. She's oppressive when strong, but is currently too weak to get anything done.
