It turns out that D&D players really like the Echo Knight subclass from Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount.

Their latest developer update revealed which subclasses and which spells from Wildemount are the most popular and topping the list is the new Fighter subclass, the Echo Knight.
There's no doubt that the Echo Knight is an extremely strong choice for Fไighters. Using the new school of magic known as dunamancy, Echo Knights are able to "summon the fading shades of unrealized timelines to aid them in battle." As a bonus action, they can create a 1-hp echo that can attack or swap places with the Echo Knight at will.
As the Echo Knight levels, their echoes gain additional functionality such as being able to scout ꦉfor the party or be used defensively to take attacks for other characters. This versatility when combined with the Fighter's already strong stats and offensive option makes the Echo Knight a powerful choice that hౠas obviously appealed to a lot of D&D players.
According to D&D Beyond, of the 28 million characters using Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, 49% of them picked the Echo Knight💝. Coming ✨in second is the Chronurgy Magic Wizard at 30%, with the Graviturgy Magic Wizard at 21%.
We also got to see which spells were popular choices from Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, and topping the list is Magnify Gravity. At 16% of spellcaster𝔍s, Magnify Gravity is a versatile 1st-level damage spell that scales well as the character progresses in levels and can even be used to deny enemies dropped weapons.
