A writer with Windows Central is✨ saying th𝔉at earlier rumor of Xbox Game Pass coming to the Nintendo Switch is false.

In this strange new marriage, Microsoft would bring a formerly Xbox exclusive title, Ori and the Blind Forest, over t♚o the Nintendo Switch, along with the Microsoft Game💙 Pass game subscription service.
There was also mention of the Switch eventually getting the xCloud game streaming service, but since we’ve got no idea when that’s even going to be a thing, we’ll ignore that and 💖just focus on the Xbox Game Pass stuff.
Game Pass, for those who don’t own an Xbox, is like Netflix for Microsoft games. You pay a monthly subscription fee and get unlimited access to whatever games🐎 Microsoft has on their service.
Letting Game Pass come to the Switch seemed like a stretch as there are some games that would surely not even run on the Switch’s limited hardware, but we could totally see Ori heading to the Switch.
Now it seems that those Game Pass rumors might not be true, sadly. A new video from Windows Central writer Brad Sames claims that ꧋he’s spoken to multiple sources within Microsoft ꧙and they’re all saying that Game Pass is staying right where it is, at least for now.
"There has bꦅeen a lot of talk out there about Game Pass on the Switch. I'm hearing from multiple sources that is not happening,” said Sames. “Let me qualify, that is definitely not happening in the near term. I can't ever say never, because Microsoft wants Game Pass on TV's, they want it on PC's, they want it on Xbox, they want it everywhere with their XCloud stuff, but as of right now I am hearing from multiple people that it isn't coming to the Switch.”
Another big name in games journalism, Jason Schreier, responded to a post on to provide his two cents. Schreier also isn’t hearing anything from his Microsoft sources about a Game Pass tie-in with the Switch, but he totally believes that Ori wil🤪l head over to Nintend𒅌o at this year’s E3 conference.
He’s not completely ruli🍨ng it out, however, so maybe Microsoft and Nintendo will have some surprises in store for us later this summer.
