Still, Eskel, Lambert, and Zoltan will always be there no matter the circumstances.

But to make matters worse, Geralt can accept the payoff right in front of Ciri. The painfully awkward and drawn-out transaction makes it clear that Geralt chose poorly. Moreover, the blatant betrayal could ultimately cost Ciri her life.
If Geralt refuses the bounty, he will preserve his relationship with Ciri and Emhyr will instead reward him with a pristine Nilfgaardian mount. This ebony equine will become Geralt's new Roach, heeding his every whistle (so long as she doesn't get trapped on a roof somewhere along the way). The choice to refuse the Emperor's pay-off also sets Ciri on the path to becoming Empress of Nilfgaard.
After stopping off at Vizima, regardless of Geralt's choices, both he and Ciri will continue on t👍o Bald Mountain to exact revenge on Imlerith. Shortly after arri൲ving, it is time to meet the sabbath hosts, which is where the quest concludes.
