Magic in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is as prevalent as the monsters Geralt of Rivia slay𝄹s for a living. In the game, he doesn't even have to w♛alk a hundred meters without encountering some magical anomaly or a sorceress whose a potential tryst (or Triss). However, this also creates a bit of a problem; how the game handles magic is a bit of a head-scratcher.
The developers themselves view magic partly as a plot device or something convenient to the story. Moreover, they don't have the luxury of explaining it, unlike in the books. That has probably left players with burning questions about mag🌊ic the game has yet to address or fully elucidate.
10 ꦇ WHERE DOES MAGIC COME FROM? ꦏ
While the game does tell in an explicit exposition about the conjunction of spheres which merged realities and introduced monsters and anomalies to the worl♈d, magiꦆc is still a wildcard in the game. It's never fully detailed how sorceresses, wizards, or druids draw their magic powers from.
, for example, chalks it up as chaotic energy with a biological price. Meanwhile, other franchises like Warhammer handle magic as a special kind of wind or an invisible current. The Witcher 3 🎃never rꦉeally went into that kind of intricacy for its magic lore.
9 WHY AREN'T POR﷽TALS MORE MAINSTREAM? ꦗ
As Geralt, you're probably sick and tired of portals by now. He has a phobia for them. Still, it's a bit obtuse of Gera𓆉lt to not consider the strategic benefits of portals. It practically el🤪iminates the need for transportation or travel in the hands of an accomplished magic-user.
In fact, it can probably even solve plenty of socio-economic problems that are ever-present in The Witcher 3's feudal fantasy worlꦬd. This can be anything from making instant supply lines to assassinating kings with ease.
8 ꩲ WHY CAN'T CIRI USE SIGNS?
Ciri not having 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:witcher mutations is understandable since she didn't undergo them. Signs, however, are basically just low-level spells that any magic-user can do in The Witcher universe. That's why🉐 it can be puzzling why Ciri can't use them.
She definitely has an 🐷innate affinity for magic thanks to her Elder Blood and was even supposed to enroll in Aretuza for training. How and why she can't even manipulate simple elements with hand signs yet travel through time and spaceꦅ is a little strange.
7 WHAT'S STOPPING MAGES🦩 FROM BECOMING TOO POWERFUL?
In conjunction with how powerful and useful portals can be, there seems to be nothing stopping graduated magic-users in The Witcher 3 from becoming way too powerful. One of them even destroyed two whole 🦂armies with a fire spell in 🐻the second game, and she wasn't as powerful as the top sorceresses.
Philippa Eilhart or even her allies, for that matter, could have easily rained fire down on Radovid or his vessel without needing to be nearby, making Dimeritium useless. In one instance, a mage was even able to teleport a whole tower that was invol💦ved in a certain quest.
6 HOW CAN DIMETIRIUM SUPPRESS MAGIC? 💫 ꦏ
Speaking of Dimetirium, it's one of the few things in the Witcher books and games that balances out the playing field. Apparently, it only works wit🌌hin a certain vicinitꦐy of the magic-user, suppressing their magical capabilities.
It's never clarified how it works though, and it essentially just acts like kryptonite, except even kryptonite has an explanation as to why it can weaken a certain superhero. All we know is that it's a speꦫcial metal.
5 📖 WHY ARE MAGIC DEVICES OVERLOOKED? ♛
It's no secret that magic-users communicate differently compared to the rest of the world in The Witcher universe. They even have two-way mirrors that allow communication with the other sideꦆ, much like a video call in a smartphone.
Even Keira Metz was able to invent ♔some sort of a walkie-talkie for Geralt. How and why kings and generals failed to leverage such devices with sorceresses at their side is baffling, seeing as communication is one of the most powerful weapons in warfare.
4 👍 WHY NEED WITCHERS AT A𝐆LL WHEN YOU HAVE MAGES?
🐎Witchers were created by mages or magic users for the purpose of slaying monsters, giving them mutations and lesser magic to do the dirty work. The problem is, there isn't anything a witcher can do that magic-users can't.
One wizard in the books, Vilgefortz was even a moreꦜ accomplisꦡhed fighter than Geralt. Besides, sorceresses, wizards, and druids can and have proven that they can easily deal with monsters. Meanwhile, guards need only coat their weapons in silver to deal with the local pesky drowner or ghoul.
3 WHY DIDN'T YENNEFE🌊R SEEK OUT GERALT US🍸ING MAGIC PRIOR TO WITCHER 3?
Yennefer and Geralt have been trying to reunite ever since the events of the final Witcher b๊ook. Apparently, Geralt recovered first but came down with amnesia while Yennefer was already aware of Geralt's existence before he fully recovered from his amnesia.
It wouldn't be hard for the powerful sorceress to travel via p✅ortal to Kaerﷺ Morhen or ask Vesemir about Geralt's whereabouts before the two of them set off to chase her breadcrumbs. That wouldn't have taken any time at all, and circumstances were rather urgent too as it involved finding Ciri.
2 ꦛ HOW DID 🍌CIRI DEFEAT THE WHITE FROST?
In the course of The Witcher 3's main quest, Ciri went from being a missing teenage daughter to a savior of multiple dimensions. It turns out she was the only key 𝓀to stopping the White Frost.
Still, the game did🐬n't do a great job of telling how and why Ciri was supposed to do it, leaving Geralt in the dark. Was Ciri able to teleport the entirety of the White Frost somewhere? Close all of its exit points? We may never know.
1 WHY ISN'T AXII A CONSTANT OPTꦍION? 🍎
The witcher signs are all combat-focused, with only a few being useful for utility, that'ꦫs why Axii stands out as it appears to be a busted sign that easily approaches Dungeons and Dragons level of absurdity when using spells for social interactions.
Geralt could have easily become a despot with Axii if he wanted. In-game, for example, Axii could have easily allowed Geralt to squeeze information from the Bloody Baron without needing to be his errand boy, therefore saving tiꦐme in finding Ciri.⛎ Then again, we wouldn't have been able to experience some masterful storytelling if we abused magic.
