It's hard to paint The Witcher's world in black and white. After all, that fantasy universe is all about motivations, choices, and consequences. The video game adaptations for The Witcher have more or less captured this spirit for the franchise. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is no exception. It's a game that mostly d🅰eals with and presents players with morally grey situations where the lines be🅠tween heroes and villains are blurred.
There are good guys and bad guys in the franchise. Heroics or selflessness are still demonstrated by The Witcher 3's characters. In fact, one of them has no choice but to be heroic and practice self-sacrifice to save everyone. Among all the main characters in The Witcher 3, here a🐓re 𒁏the most heroic individuals who somehow defy the morally grey stereotypes.
10 AVALLACH
As far as morally grey stere🍸otypes go, Avallach is a prime example. He's one of the ancient elves and one of the most powerful rulers in Aen Elle, t🌱he homeworld of the elves. Throughout the game, Avallach shows he cares about nothing more than saving his homeworld from an apocalyptic event called the White Frost.
To do this, he needs Ciri's help, as she's the last living descendant of Lara෴ Dorren, who was gifted with power over time and space. Avallach's genuine concern for his own kin and his homeworld is what makes him heroic enough to be on this list, even if the game implies tha🔴t he's a bit racist and has a twisted crush/obsession with Ciri.
9 YENNEFER
Yennefer might appear cold and cruel (especially to Geralt) but when push comes to shove, you'll find no more desirable ally than this sorceress. When confronted with hard decisions, Yennefer always puts her friends and everyone who matters to her inဣ the 🅰forefront and commits to necessary and hard decisions.
Her methods might appear rather callous and inconsiderate, especially since she has shown that she has no qualms about desecrating the dead or using people as pawns in order to achi♒eve more important goals. However, Yennefer is not the type to run away from a fight no matter how overwhelming the odds are. She'll eveꩲntually find a way to even them out.
8 𒆙 ZOLT꧋AN CHIVAY
One of Geralt of Rivia's oldest friends, Zoltan Chivay has been with him ever since the two of them met on a battlefield💮, sharing traumas and challenges together. Zoltan even helped Geralt acquire a new sword in the books. Meanwhile, in the video games, Zoltan is an outspoken (albeit careless) dwarf who wholeheartedly rejects racism.
In fact, he has even joined a radical group of rebel elves called the Scoia'tel and helped them fight against the greedily expanding human kingdoms. When it comes to helping his friends, however, Zoltan knows no skin color, height, or ear shape. He'll even gladly bring over some of 🍨his Dwarven comrades to help Geralt and friends.
7 DANDELION
A cunning and womanizing bard is not usually considered heroic but Dandelion has proven himself time and again. Regardle🐼ss of how many times he participates in blundersꦿ or causes disasters himself, Dandelion's loyalty and help to Geralt is irreplaceable.
The bard even heroically demonstrated this when he went great lengths to help Ciri in an uphill battle, knowing full well it could cost him his life. Needless to say, Dandelion has helped Ciri without question and to the best of his abilities. Thiꦅs put him in danger and put his life at risk, but he did it without any expected reward.
6 TRISS
Triss was quite a shallow character in the first 𒐪game and a shady ally in the second game, considering her deception of Geralt and betrayal of Yennefer. Even so, she more or less redeemed herself in the third game, especially in the final stages of her sto🍸ryline associated with the main quest.
If you don't recall, Triss had her finest moment during the Novigrad witch hunts, where she saved dozens of mages and magic-users against Radovid's Witch Hunters who were slaughtering them. Tﷺhis action painted Triss in a heroic light and easily turned her into a likable character, regardless of what she ❀did to Geralt and Yennefer before.
5 LAMBERT
Lambert, Lambert, what a prick. That artful impromptu limerick came straight out of Geralt's mouth and it pretty much sums up everyone's impression of this biꦕtter witcher. It's understandable that Lambert became like this. He was once a smart and innocent lad who had no say in his life, and he resents the fact that he was turned into a Witcher against his will. Anyone would have hated that.
Nevertheless, beneath Lambert's hateful heart and amoral exterior is someone who deeply cares about his adopted family. Lambert has no reservations about saving Geralt, Eskel, Vesemir, Ciri, or even some of their 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:sorceress friends at great person💫al risk. Despite his exasperated exterior, he harbors no ill will for any of his Witcher family and would gladly lay down his life to save them al𝐆l.
4 ESKEL
Eskel is pretty much Geralt's spiritual twin in the Witcher School of the Wolf. Both of them were in the same batch, had the same training and progression, and practically grew up as 🌱brothers. It's just that Geralt's destiny was shinier and his involvement in politics is more troublesome, hence his popularity.
Still, Eskel pretty much shares💙 the same moral values as Geralt does. He cares for all the members of his Witcher family and their friends. Eskel, like Geralt and their other witcher comrades, also frequently faces overwhelming odds and doesn't back away from fights, even if 𓆉they seem like certain death.
3 GERALT
Finally, we have here the poster boy of the franchise, Geralt of Rivia, the Butcher of Blaviken, Slayer of Sorceresses... okay, nevermind that last part. Anyway, Geralt is a little more heroic than Eskel since he had to be. Geralt had no choice but to become a reluctant father to Ciri, which s🐻uddenly meant he had 🥂a family.
It was no longer a sterile bachelor's life for him after that, and Geralt's priorities in life eventually changed, as we all saw in the third game. He's now more of a father figure and a selfless warrior than ever in the previous two games anꦍd even the books. Of course, Geralt w꧑as also instrumental in helping Ciri save the world.
2 CIRI
Speaking of saving the world, that task thankfully rests on Ciri's shoulders instead of Geralt's. It's a nice change of pace for the Witcher, but not for Ciri who was struggling w🅺ith insecurity, lack of experience, and the impossible challenge of mastering her abilities at such a young age.
How did she manage? Well, that's up to you as Geralt. However, if🐓 you pull it off correctly, Ciri will either die heroically (and tragically) or live heroically as well. Not discounting her achievements, of 🌸course, Ciri has always been destined for great and heroic deeds like these. All she needed was a little encouragement.
1 VESEMIR
When it comes to full-on suicidally heroi🔴c deeds, it's safe to say that none can top what Vesemir pulled off in the battle for Kaer Morhen. It was during his last stand that he proved how much of a noble sacrifice can make all the difference in the world by refusing to let the Wild Hunt take Ciri, using everything he has at his disposal.
In doing so, Vesemir had to give up his own life just to give Ciri a small chance to evade the Wild Hunt's grasp once again. Without Vesemir's heroic act, The Witcher 3 would have ended then and the𝐆re with a "🐽Game over" screen. It goes to show what a Witcher can do if he isn't hung up on dying in his sleep.
