CD Projekt Red recently announced that behemoth fantasy RPG The Witc𒀰her 3 is coming to next-gen consoles, and will 🍷receive a significant visual and technical overhaul.

The Witch♉er 3 will launch on both PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021, on top of getting a serious glow-up on PC. Fans of Geralt will be glad to know that this upgrade means the game will featu🌠re significantly faster loading times and will fully support ray tracing technology. I don't know about you, but I'm not even sure I want to see a ray-traced Drowner...

"Developed to take advantage of p🌱owerful video-game hardware, the next generation edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 will feature a range of visual and technical improvements," reads an official CD Projekt Red press release received by TheℱGamer.

The press release goes on to note that ray tracing and faster loading times will be applied to the base game as well as both of The Witcher 3's expansions, Hearts🔥 of Stone and Blood and Wine.

For those interested in checking out the next-gen edition of The Witcher 3, it will be available as a standalone purchase on PC, Xbox Series X, a༺nd PS5. However, if you already own a current-generation edition of The Witcher 3, you'll get the next-gen upgrade free of charge - basically, you can enhance the version you already have simply be registering it on your next-gen console.
