The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the most successful AAA RPGs for a multitude of excellent reasons. Two of the biggest draws are that the characters are so well-drawn that they feel almost real, and the game has the ability to just make you feel thꩵings.

The world of the Witcher 3 is not usually a place where you feel nice things. There are a great many things that inspire horꦏror across the war-ravaged Continent, and an equal measure of heartbreak to be found. Here are some of the most heart-rending moments in the story. A warni🅷ng for those who haven't played this game fully: there will be spoilers.

10 🤡 Gretka's Tale And The Trail Of Treats 🤪

Gretka from the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

During Ciri's first playable part of the story, you meet a little girl named Gretka in the woods of Crookback Bog. She's running away fr🌊om a pack of wolves, and after Ciri saves her, she asks Gretka what she's doing in the dangerous bog. Gretka answers that her father brought her there to walk down the "Trail of Treats" because they had nothing to eat, and her father said they had 🥀too many mouths to feed.

Whether Gretka's father brought her to the woods to be lost in the bog, killed by wolves, or because he knows she will be found by the cannibalistic witches that live at the end of the trail is unclear, but either way, he brought her there to be sacrificed, possibly as a desperate way to keep his other children f📖rom starving. That kind of sacrifice is hard to hear about, especially knowing Gretka is not the only child with this fate.

9 🔴 Saying Goodbye To Triss 𝓡

Triss Merigold from the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Geralt and Triss share a quest late in the story that ends on the docks of Novigrad, where they have ushered a number of magical folk onto a ship to escape the city. Triss plans to go witಞh them. Geralt has the option of trying to convince her of🅺 his love to keep her there with him in Novigrad or letting her go.

If the player chooses to let Triss go, Triss and Geralt share a tear-filled goodbye on the docks. Even if the ꦉplayer thinks Triss shouldn't be Geralt's romantic interest, it doesn't make seei🌠ng the pain in Triss's face any less sad.

8 🍃 The Worst Ending 💝

Witcher 3 Ciri Elder Power

The Witcher 3 has plenty of choices of🍨 consequence, many of them morally ambiguous. Depending on what the player selects, there are also a variety of endings. One of the worst outcomes ends with Ciri disappearing into another dimension to fight the White Frost of the 💜Wild Hunt, and we find out weeks later that she died. With nothing to live for, we see Geralt sitting hopelessly in the aftermath of 🉐a battle, as he is surrounded by nekkers and drowners. The implication is that he might give up, and let himself be killed.

This one is low on the list because, despite the tragedy, there are no bodies to be found. It's hard not to 🌟wonder if there might be a follow-up adventure that ꦇshows that Ciri and Geralt managed to make it out alive.

7 Síle De Tansarville's E♔nd

Sile de Tansarville from the Witcher series

Síle de Tansarville is a member of the Lodge of Sorceresses and a powerful personality e🅰arlier in the Witcher series. She does not appear much at all in the Witcher 3, because, for most of the timeline, she is presumably locked awaꦏy in King Radovid's dungeons.

If the player chooses to go save Síla and Margarita, they will find both of the sorceresses in a bad stat🌠e from being imprisoned and tortured on Radovid's orders. When it is clear Síla won't make it, she begs for a dignified death. Either Yennefer or Geralt obliges, and 🥃it is clear that either choice breaks Yennefer's heart.

6 🔯 Keira Metz'🔯s Worst Outcome

Keira Metz from the Witcher 3 dining with Geralt

Keira Metz appears sporadically through the Witcher 3 to temporarily aid Geralt in his questing, should his goals happen to align with hers. During what is p🐟otentially their last meeting, Geralt must choos♏e between fighting Keira to stop her from approaching Radovid, sending her to Kaer Morhen, and letting her do what she will.

Ironically, letting Keira get her way will result in the worst outcome for her, as Radovid has her killed in a truly hideous way. The player can choose to have♏ Triss and Geralt go recover her body🃏, and when they find her, the way that Triss cradles the broken corpse of her friend and fellow sorceress is truly heartbreaking.

5 ൲ Cirꦕi On Her Deathbed

Witcher 3 Geralt and Ciri becomes a Witcher ending

Geralt spends nearly the entire plot of the Witcher 3 on a search for Ciri across the Co🌜ntinent. When he finally tracks her down o🍌n the magical Isle of Mists, she's lying unmoving on a bed, cold and lifeless.

Although it turns out to be just a spell, and Ciri is fine all along, Geralt staggering back in horror at thinking his adoptive daughter is dead is deeply affecting. The witcher is normally so de🐓adpan and so formidable a warrior that to see him physically incapacitated by his emotional pain is a jarring sight.

4 🐭 Lambert's Or𒐪igin Story

Witcher 3 Lambert

Lamber🌞t is, as Geralt so eloquently puts it, a bit of a prick. His appearances in the Witcher 3 are marked by his snarky attacks on Yennefer, or the witcher life, or sometimes even Geralt himself. Lambert is entertaining, but he thinks very little of everything in his life, and during a quest late in the game in Kaer Morhen, the player has a chance to find out why.

Lambert spills his entire bitter backstory to Geralt, telling of his abuse at the hands of his father and his essentially unwilling abduction into♈ witcher training. It's no wonder Lambert is the w෴ay he is, after his sad origin story.

3 🌱🎉 The Bloody Baron And Anna

Witcher 3 The Bloody Baron Speaking To Geralt
Witcher 3 The Bloody Baron Speaking To Geralt

The Bloody Baron (Phillip Strenger) is a controversial character in the Witcher 3 and can be potentially counted as one o꧅f the stories' villains. On one hand, he is an irredeemably violent and abusive man, and on the other hand, through Geralt's eyes, itꦫ is hard not to identify with his humanity. Either way, his wife Anna is a sympathetic character, and it's easy to cheer on Geralt during his quest to save her.

Through a series of decisions in the game, the player must blindly choose Anna's fate for her. In one possibility, Anna dies, and, driven to grief by her death, the Baron hangs himself. Although a polarizing figure until his death, the Baron's despair and Anna's death are still ♏168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one of the most painful sidequests to cಞomplete.

2 ♐ The Vampire Survivor's Mistake

Orianna and orphan boy in the Witcher 3

The Witcher 3 has one of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:best DLC expansion𒁏 packs to be found for an RPG in Bl💜ood and Wine. Toward the end of the main story, Geralt must protect the Duchy of Toussaint from a vampire 🍰attack. The player can choose to seek out the aid of the Unseen Elder, an ancient vampire. As part of this quest, Geralt must visit the wealthy owner of one of Toussaint's orphanages, Orianna, who is herself also a kind of vampire (a bruxa).

When Orianna and Geralt arrive at her orphanage, they find that the vampire attack has preceded them, and many of the orphans have died, abandoned by their protectors. As if this isn't sad enough, Orianna finds one of her orphans alive, and he tells her a harrowing tale of how he escaped harm. He knew enough to hide and stay quiet as the vampires searched the building, but his little sister did not. To stop them from be🌠ing discovered, he covered her mouth to stifle her cries, and held her like this until she was still. The implication that he accidentally killed her while trying to save them is devastating.

1 ♊ Vesemir's ꦫDeath

Vesemir from the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Geralt and his allies make their last stand against the Wild Hunt at Kaer Morhen. Once the Hunt breaches their walls, Geralt and most of his friends are frozen solid by the White Frost and can do nothing as Eredin enters their keep. Only Ciri and Vesemir are protected from the Frost, and Vesemir stands alone to protect Ciri♍ from being captured by the King of the Wild Hunt.

Although he is a powerful and wise witcher, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:and one of the best characters 🌺of the game, Vesemir is no match for Eredin. Ciri's screams of anguish upon watching Vesemir's mur🎀der are hard to forget.
