Like all excellent but complicated fantasy plots, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is not without its plot holes and inconsistencies. This drawback of making a fantasy world in a video game extends to Hearts of Stone🃏, one of the two expansions for the game and is often considered as more interesting than the main quest.
Certain things in Hearts of Stone don't make sense either because much information about them was omitted or because certain elements just don't fit in a video game. Olgierd is one of the most vicious characters in The Witcher 3 and his solemn heartless demeanor doesn't mask the fact that he killed his own brother for power. That very well mea💃ns the only thing that's off-limits to him is his dearꦺ wife, Iris.
That's why it's rather puzzling why Olgierd chose to curse the Ofieri Prince instead of just ending his life. This man was his rival for Iris' loved, supposedly and he hated him enough to keep him cursed even after he became immortal. Had he done so, Gau꧑nter neve🍎r would have found out a way to outsmart him.
9 ❀ WHY DID GAUNTER O'DIMM NEED GERALT? 𒆙
Speaking of Gaunter O'Dimm, his exact being and powers are still questionable. It is clear that he can control time and even bend things to his will or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:transport other beings somewhere. That's why his being bound b𒈔y a measly contract lacks logical weight.
Gaunter seems like someone who can easily rip apart or fulf🦹ill Olgierd's conditions without a need for a witcher. In fact, he🌺 probably could have disguised himself and act as a proxy and then transport Olgierd to the moon, seeing as he can pretty much play with time.
8 ಞ 🍸 SHANI SEEMS OUT-OF-PLACE
Shani is certainly a welcome face in Hearts of Stone but her appearance there doesn't make sense in the context of the game's world state. She was supposedly a medic or a doctor-- one of the best in Redania, meaning she really should have been in the frontlines sꦇaving lives.
Instead, she's in some sewers pursuing an academic matter which she doesn't hesitate to postpone to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:help Geralt. She even finds time to have a little "R&R" ꧟with him. If anything, it's blatant fan service which isn't really that bꦯad but her appearance lacks reasonable context beyond happenstance.
7 🔥🔴 THE EXISTENCE OF GHOSTS
Ghosts in the base game of The Witcher 3 usually existed in the form of wraiths and tortured souls. Then along came the Von Everec family who somehow were a💛ble to🧸 manifest and even affect the material world and mortals through possession.
This is a huge deal if ghosts worked that way in The Witcher 3. Because then, mortality would have been useless and a big percentage of people could just keep on living as ghosts. The Von Everecs certainly d🌌id. What of ghosts of kings and queens too? Also witcher ghosts?
6 WHY DID OLGIERD NEED GERALT AGAINST THE BORSODIS? 🌳
One segway of Olgierd's wis﷽hes involved getting revenge against the Borsodis who "ruined" his house and put the Von Everecs in a financial rock bottom. Olgierd then hoped that Geralt would deal with the Borsodis for him.
However, given Olgierd's hatred for the Borsodis, why didn't he just go after them? He's immortal, powerful, and resourc🐈eful. He could have taken them down without any repercussions from society and wouldn't need Geralt. It could also eliminate the possibility of someone fulfilling one of his wishes.
5 WHY DIDN'T JUST OLGIERD ASK GERALT TO FREE HIM FROM THE CONTRACT 🌌๊
Here's another obvious action that both Olgierd💞 and Geralt could have take𒐪n against Gaunter O'Dimm. Olgierd seems to be fond of Gaunter already; both he and Geralt also have the same goal of ridding themselves of Gaunter.
So why not just help each other out? That eventually would have been one of the choices by the end of Hearts of Stone anyway. The two would have been unstoppable in tr﷽ying to figure out🎉 how to defeat Gaunter O'Dimm as they're both functionally immortal.
4 🙈 GAUNTER O'DIMM'S LOGIC AND ETHICS 🔯
The game oddly paints Gaunter O'Dimm as an evil creature which is weird enough considering that most of its characters come in shades of grey. Gaunter ꧙does seem to have🐬 respect for his "contracts" as these appear more powerful than him.
However, this is also a creatu♊re that will casually kill someone with a spoon for fun 💛when he could have harvested their soul. Perhaps it's all a game to him and the smarter the soul, the more fun but in that case, why not just play with kings instead?
3 🐼 ꦚ THE MOON CHEAT
One of Olgierd's seemingly bulletproof conditions for letting Gau💦nter harvest his soul was that both of them had to be on the moon once all his th𒀰ree wishes are fulfilled. Gaunter is adamant that he wouldn't cheat but he technically did.
He brought Olgierd on a mosaic of the moon, notඣ the moon itself and it's pretty clear in wording anyone's dictionary that a moon is a celestial object. In that case, the moon mosaic wasn't necessary-- Gaunter could have had Geralt draw a moon on the ground and bring Olgierd there. That would have worked the same.
2 🌜 NO POWERFUL FRIEND BOTHERED TO HELP GERALT 🌃
Makes anyone wonder whether 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Geralt really has loyal friends or if they're only situati༺onally loyal as the story demands it. In this case, it seems only Shani was the only person he could count on regarding his binding brand.
It's not like Hearts of Stone existed in a vacuum either; Geralt clearly shows the Gaunter's brand to Triss and Yennefer and he could have asked for their help. Hell, even Dandelion could have been there to record the tale. Lastly, it's not like Geralt isn't the surrogate father of the most powerful character in The Witcher 3.

Speaking of Ciri, it would seem that only one other being could match her powers. That would be Gaunter O'Dimm. Gaunter definitely knows of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ciri's existence and would have been a close match for her✤ in a fight🎐.
