Even if you've thoroughly read all eight Witcher books, played through each of the games and have binged through the Netflix series more times than you'd like to admit -- you'll still be lost with the central story in . Sure the crucial details are clear, save Ciri, save the world, but the details get a little messy aloꦦng the way.

10 A🥀long With Monsters, Humans Were Also Introduced Into The World Through The Conjunction Of Spheres

conjunction_spheres_w3

Sure this doesn't really have too much to do with the central story at hand, but since the Conjunction of Spheres is mentioned quite often let's discuss what it is and it's importance. According to the Wiki the Conjunction of𓂃 the Spheres "is a cataclysm which affected the whole Multiverse and occurred 1,500 years before the events in the novels, trapping many "unnatural" creatures in this dimension, including ghouls, graveirs, and vampires." But in addition to monsters, the evꦺent created Dwarves, Elves and even humans -- all appearing in that order. Quite a creation story if you ask us.

9 Ciri 🌠Was To give Birth To Auberon's Child, The King Of The Aen Elle

ciri_aenelle_witcher3

One negative of the masterpiece that is The Witcher 3 is that from a narrative standpoint, things are 💜really rushed towards the end. Probably the most important details of the story, like why Eredin needs Ciri or her relationship with the Aen Elle (Eredin and Avallac'hs race). The story is told in brief flashbacks during the dream sequℱence towards the end, but even then you won't get the full picture.

Ciri was to have the child of the previous king of the Aen Elle, Auberon. The king however was having complications having intercourse with her so Eredin made an aphrodisiac for Auberon. The potion wasn't straight poison, but it did kill Auberon, firing off the events of Wild Hunt.

8 Eredin Needs Ciri So His Entire Race Doesn't Die Off. ༺

We might as well stick with the negatives of Wild Hunt and this particular point is one where the writers of🐻 the game failed pretty hard. Eredin for most if not all of the game seeꦑms like a generic bad guy who wants to destroy the human world and kill Ciri. But his plan has so much more depth than that.

Yes Eredin wants to exterminate the human world, but this is to save his own dying race.𒅌 That crucial motivation is never properly explaine༺d in the game and gives so much weight to when Eredin reaches for Ciri at Kaer Morhen and Carenthir has to save him. He's willing to die for his people...

7 🔯 What's Up With This White Frost? 𝕴

white_frost_witcher3

There's so much going on in The Witcher 3 that the immense importance of the White Frost is lost on many players. You're fighting these demon elves for most of the game and trying to save Ciri wh﷽en all of a sudden, now you have to worry about sn𝔍ow too? What gives?

According to the  and stated by Avallac'h and Nimuea, a sorceress who once helped Ciri, it's a metaphor for an upcoming ice age caused by changes in the planet's orbit and axis, which would cause most of the northern💛 hemisphere to freeze around 3,000 years. No one can stop it except someone with Elder Blood who can open a portal to send it to another world.

6 Avallac'h And Ered🌱in's Relationship

aen_elle_witcher3

Based on The Witcher 3 it may seem like Eredin and Avallac'h have been sworn enemies since the dawn of time, but these two have been allies and friends for much longer than you might've expected. Both he elves se🌜rved under Auberon and both wanted Ciri to have a child with the🦋 King  so that they can use the power of the child to reopen the "Great Gate."

It may sound a bit confusing, but doing this would give them a crazy amount of power and allow 🃏for them to travel between worlds to avoid the White Frost. But Avallac'h comes to the conclusion that the Frost would catch up to them eventually and decides to help Ciri stand and fight it instead of running.

5 🐈 Let's Take A Break To Discuss Cu♌t Content

crones_witcher3

While The Witcher 3 is packed to the brim with content including two fully fleshed out continents and too many quests to count. There's still a good deal of⭕ content that was cut and two specific pieces that could've been crucial to the story.

The first involves the Crones and their festival. CD Projekt Red was going to have a full-blown orgy and a cult-like mass suicide which would've made that whole section feel much m𒆙ore memorable than it did. The second would've placed the final battle in Novigrad and would've had much more content. While the final battle is certainly epic, it is another part that felt a bit rushed -- the cut content probably could've fixed that.

4 𓆏 𝄹 Crach An Craite And Skellige

witcher_geralt_skellige

By the time you make it to Skellige in The Witcher 3 you'll likely be a little fatigued. You've already made a full sprint🦹 in Velen and Novigrad, completing every side quest and activity no matter how small. When you get to Skellige you either get your second wind or burn out and b♊eeline straight for the final quest.

Regardless of what you do, there's even more content in Skellige then Velen, so you'll likely miss out eitheไr way. Every one of those small islands has something for you including a host of sidequests. And don't forget to help Crach by helping one of his kiddos become ruler of Skellige.

3 🥃 Vernon Roche, Dijkstra And The Fate Oꦦf Temeria

vernonroche_dijkstra_witcher3

One of the quintessential side quests that does a great deal to affect the main story line in The Witcher 3 is assassinating Radovid and deciding the fate of Temaria. After taking care of Radovid, who has become a power-hungry⭕ madman who's obsessed with killing all sorcerers, you'll think you're on top of the world.

All is solved! Temari𒁏a is back baby! ꦛNope, here comes Dijkstra right up your arse. He'll put you in a position where you either help him or Roche -- which should be an easy choice since the latter is your friend. There's so many twists and turns, this is one you don't want to miss out on.

2 💎 Geralt's💃 Last Wish

yennefer_geralt_witcher3

Let's end this list off with the ladies of The Witcher 3, because no matter who choose, both are very important to our protagonist Geralt. We'll get to Triss later, so let's talk some Yen. In case yoꦬu didn't know, Geralt and our favorite eye-brow raising sorceress are tied by fate due to a wish that the witcher made to save her life. So whatever happens to one happens to the other, pretty romantic if you ask us.

In The Witcher 3 you get to see this relationship to it's proper conclusion. You fi😼nd a Djinn (the creature that grants wishes) and help Yen wish away your initial wish. Both char꧂acter realize what they have for each other is real and stay together not because of a wish, but because they love each other... We're not crying, there's just something in our eye!

1 🎶 Triss Is A Really, REALL🧸Y Bad Friend

triss_geralt_witcher3

Triss is not a good friend. And that's not just because the ending with Yen and Geralt is much more satisfying, it's because her actions in the past are terrible and downright sick. In The Witcher 2 Geralt loses his memories and Triss uses this opportunity to not tell him any details about his past -- like the fact that he already has a girl -- and seduces him into sleeping with her. Then in Wild Hunt she tries to act all cute and innocent like she didn't take advantage of him and completely eradicate her relationship with Yennefer. Geralt and Yen should never talk to Triss again, yet bot🐈h act like she did nothing wrong. Maybe they both got amnesia this time.
