is the protagonist and main character of all three Witcher games, but by no means is he the most powerful or ꦬcapable. In fact, there are plenty of monsters and humans that outmatch, outsmart, and are just plain better than 💞he is. One of those is even his adopted daughter, Cirilla or Ciri. The difference between the two in terms of capabilities is undeniable and as clear as night and day.
Ciri is pretty much a goddess in hibernation while Geralt is, well♈, just a witcher. Suffice to say, Ciri's role in the universe is immense. Still, th𝓡ere are some things that Geralt is capable of that Ciri isn't, such as being a fully-fledged Witcher, since Ciri never actually underwent the Trial of the Grasses (final mutation). Hence, we compare Ciri's capabilities to Geralt and vice versa to see how well the old man holds up against his daughter.
Updated December 28th, 2020 by Josh Davison: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt can sort of blend the characters of Geralt of Rivia and Ciri for players given that the game allows the player to enter the role of both over the course of the game. Despite different fighting styles and even abilities, the controls for both do feel the same. However, their heritage, training, and even biology make them vastly different individuals with different capabilities. With The Witcher continuing to be on everyone's mind as they await news on the second season of the Netflix serieཧs, no𝐆w seems as good a time as any to dive back into the differences between the White Wolf and the Lady of Time and Space.
14 CIRI: Beco🍨me Empress Of Nilfgaard
While Geralt might look stunning in a royal dress, it is Ciri who has the potential to ascend to the throne of Nilfgaard in the stead of Emhyr von Emreis. Ciri is the daughter of Emhyr, and one of the endings to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is Ciri becomin🎶g the Empr♈ess of the Nilfgaardian Empire.
This would, obviously, make Ciri politically one of the most powerful people in the world in addition to being magically powerful. While Geralt can usually onlyꦆ change people's lives on an individual basis, Ciri c⛦ould potentially change the world with a word or stroke of a pen.
13 GERALT: Grow A Beard 🍎
That said, Geralt can grow a pretty darn good beard. How many of us have had a jolly old time styling Geralt's facial hair at the barbers throughout th♕e Continent?
While the beard may have minimal combat potential at first glanꦡce, one must think that any bandit or ghoul must൲ at least think twice once spying the full and powerful beard of Geralt of Rivia.
12 🅺 CIRI: Anything?
This one is open-ended because, with the Elder Blood running through her veins, Cirilla really has the world at her fingertips. She is a "Source," meaning🐻 that she is a natural producer of magical energy which both Triss and Yennefer have tried to help her train over the years.
For more localized reference in Witcher 3, she did subdue both the Witchers defending Kaer Morhen and the top powers of the Wild Hunt just by losing her cool and screaming. If she hadn't been restrained at that moment✨, she would have likely killed all of both parties and possibly herself🌞. She is a font of energy that could change the world or destroy it.
11 🧸 GERALT: Be A Super-Soldie🗹r
Much like the open-ended nature of Ciri's magical abilities, Geralt has a full arsenal of power bestowed through the Witcher Trial of Gra🧔sses. He's just better than the average human now—with enhanced strength, agility, and stamina. He's sort of like Captain America or Deathstroke if you're feeling edgy. Being the ideal monst🍃er hunter makes you something of a super-soldier.
While it's less often displayed in the games, the Witcher books show Geralt's incredible strength on a few occasions♛ throughout the series. His speed is often displayed in his movement in the games—especially his sprinting speed. He's a man who has𝓰 been granted physical prowess beyond human limits.
10 CIRI: Go Anywhere 🐠
Ciri is known as the Lady of Space and Time and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:going anywhere in the blink of an eye is half of why she's called as such. This stemmed from the fact that she was a descendant of Lara Dorren, a legendary elven sorceress who had strong innate magical abilities she can🔜 pass on by blood.
This essentially gave 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ciri the capability to open a portal anywh🧸ere and travel♕ instantaneously. Additionally, it seems this power for her is quite limitless as she's also able to travel to different worlds or even different dimensions. As far as all magical creatures go, this means Ciri is the most powerful.
9 ꦡ GERALT: Witcher Sen🦄ses
Gifted as Ciri may be, Geralt still has some nifty tricks up his sleeve since he underwent the Trial of the Grasses. One of these attributes is his heightened reflexes, agility, and many other things that give him an edge 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:over the monsters he hunts.🎀 This can be anything from an acute sense of smell to sharper hearing, making Geralt pretty much unassaila💜ble.
On top of that, Geralt can also easily see in the dark. His Trial of the Grasses mutation gave him cat-like eyes (like other witchers) where he can dilate his pupils at will in order to see with minimal light. He can then further enhance this ability with the Cat Potion (meaning that torch in The Witcher 3 really shouldn't have seen any use at all).
8 CIRI: C🌸an Have A Child ಞ
Since Ciri never underwent the witcher mutations, she's very much fertile and can bear children. After all, Emhyr var Emreis wouldn't have made Ciri Empress of Nilfgaard if she were sterile. Besides, making Ciri sterile would have been a colossal mistake since she's one of the few living inherit📖ors of the Elder Blood from Lara Dorren.
By contrast, Geralt is without much of a future as far as familial ties go. He can neither sire any child or start a family (unless he adopts children). It's one of Geralt's biggest woes in his life as a witcher and while the third game did feature a witcher who was able to have biological children, it's worth noting that the video game adaptiꦐon took way too many liberties that fans don't even c✨onsider it canon anymore.
7 GERALT: Witche🌌r Signs ﷺ
Being the Lady of Space and Time is cool and all, but being able to 𒀰168澳洲幸运5开奖网:conjure basic magic with just hand signs is a different appeal altogether. That's what signs are for witchers. They're often scoffed at by actual sorcerers and sorceresses since signs are l꧅ike magic for dummies for them, but hey, they work well enough for witchers.
It's one of the perks of undergoing a successful witcher mutation too. From the straightforward wind and fire attacks to the more intricate mind magic which is the fantasy equivalent of Jedi mind tricks, signs are as✨ valuable as a witcher's swords. It pales in comparison with time and space manipulation, but that's like comparing a Swiss army knife to a nuclear bomb.
6 𝔉 CIRI: Can Control Time
In addition to space, Ciri can also control another dimension of the universe which is time. It's not clear whether she's used it to full effect 🧔but Ciri has a🌸pparently tapped into her time manipulation capabilities especially in combat. This is more noticeable once you get to control her where one of her special attacks or abilities involves slowing the flow of time for someone else.
This essentially make🎃s Ciri move faster. It's a nice substitute for witcher reflexes or a better replacement for it altogether. In the books, it has been explicitly stated that Ciri can also indeed, travel through time though she never really delved deep enough into learning that aspect of her Elder Blood. That means we have yet to see the extent of Ciri's time powers.
5 ♚ GERALT: Resistant To Wounds And Disease
One noteworthy difference between Geralt and Ciri is that the former appears tougher. This is evident in the many wounds Geralt has all over his face and his body-𓄧- many of which are certainly mortal and could have put a regular man to sleep permanently. It can't be helped, being a witcher has too many occupational hazards.
Many of these include being used as a chew toy for monsters or the regular human malevolence. In addition to that, Geralt is also supposed to be 🥂at a higher risk of contracting diseases due to his line of work. Thankfully, he is also immune to diseases thanks to his witcher mutations; couple with his rapid healing rate, this makes Geralt physically tougher than Ciri.
