There are many weapons in the world of The Witcher and almost all of them are dangerous. The most common ones are usually swords and Geralt's go-to choice of weapon but as with any ౠmedieval dark fantasy and in other genres as well, the mind can often be a more dangerous tool. As 💝such, the most dangerous characters in the show are usually also the smartest.

As it happens, there is no shortage of them in Netflix's The Witcher adaptation. Most of them have shaped the events and progressed the narrative through sheer intellect and will instead of brute force. So, to remind everyone that Geralt is but a clueless guppie in an ocean full of intellectual sharks, here are the most intelligent characters in Netflix's The Witcher.

9 GERALT OF RIVI♓A 😼

Geralt from The Witcher

Since the show is primarily about him, we had to mandatorily 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:squeeze Geralt right in this list. In any case, he's still very muꦏch qualified to be here. While he's prone to breakdowns and impulsive decision-making, Geralt has a good judge of character. This stems from the fact that he nows people and their bad sides.

He's had a lifetime to study and observe huꦕman beings and other creatures. Hence, Geralt's social skills are more than what they seem. He's less likely to be fooled by his witchering clients though he does tend to get manipulated by royalty quite a lot. When it comes to witchering, Geralt is also no slouch and has a vast encyclopedic knowledge of monsters.

8 CIRI

Ciri from The Witcher

Ciri is likely in her pre-teens duri♛ng the first season of the show and that pretty much means she's not as wise or as clever as she should be. After all, she spent more than a decade being sheltered in the exquisite castles and rooms of Cintra, not knowing much about the world outside other than what she learns from books or from Mousesack.

Even so, Ciri fared quite well when she fell from her high comfort zone. She might have had powers but she still utꦐilized maturity beyond her years and strong survival inst👍incts and mental resilience. Ciri quickly adapted to the world around her and even managed to call out and outsmart a Doppler impersonating Mousesack.

7 ꦜ QUEEN CALANTHE ๊

Now we're moving on to Ciri's grandm﷽other, Queen Calanthe of Cintra. She's also otherwise known as the Lioness of Cintra-- a queen who has no qualms against chargꩵing head-first into battle and leading her soldiers into the fray. This makes Queen Calanthe a force to be reckoned with both on the battlefield and in the throne room.

Her wit as a queen is as sharp as her skills in combat as is proof when she remained the leader of Cintra despite the many polit𝔍ical threats and powerplays that could have taken her down. We all know it's no easy feat handling both war and politics and Calanthe is more than qualified on both fronts, though she is a little too stubborn in her refusal to accept Duny.

6 YENNEFER

wticher-yennefer

The Yennefer we have in the show is notably tamer than the one in The Witcher III: Wild Hunt but nevertheless, she still shows off some of her signature sass and wit. She's a fiercely independent woman who has been through some of the worst ordeals life has to offer. This transformed Yennefer into a sophisticated and rather 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:manipulative sorceress with a kind heart underneath a cold facade.

Yennefer's years of experience serving as an advisor to kings have also made her a notable political figure. She knows how to play the game and is also smart enough to deducܫe any plan a noble has, especially if it concerns assassinations. It did help that Yennefer is also pretty much a senior citi🐬zen when it comes to how long she's lived.

5 𒐪 TISSAIA DE VRIES

Yennefer might have become one of the most powerful sorceresses by the end of Seas🐓on 1, but she never would have gotten that chance if not for Tissaia de Vries. She's Yennefer's mentor and the closest thing to a functional mother figure to her. Tissaia also runs the Aretuza School for Witchcraft and Wi-- oh, sorry, the wrong fandom.

Anyway, as proprietress of Aretuza, Tissaia is often tasked with the critical role of producing the best and brightest sorceresses to "aid" kings and offer wisdom to them. In addition to that, Tissaia is also a master political strategist and knows well h𓆏ow to play chess with kings and other power and status-hungry magic wielders.

4 STREGOBOR

Stregobor from The Witcher

Speaking of magic-users that are crafty and shady, Stregobor is one such figure in The Witcher universe. He's responsible for creating one of the most in-depth villains in the Witcher books and show, namely Renfri. Stregobor basically ruined her life under the presumption of an unbreakable curse whic🐼h supposedly makes Renfri evil.

Instead of facing the consequences of his decisions, Stregobor managed to manipulate everyone 𒀰into working against Renfri. Stregobor even came💦 close to manipulating Geralt into siding with him. When that failed, he still managed to turn the townspeople against Geralt in order to save himself and without the use of magic, something he's also highly proficient at.

3 FRINGILLA VIGO 𒁃

Fringilla Vigo from The Witcher

While Yennefer is painted aꦓs the brightest in Aretuza among her batch, Fringilla Vigo notably achieved quite a lot more than Yennefer ever did in Season 1. Fringilla was sent to Nilfgaard to act as the advisor there and the primary contact of Aretuza but became c🍎lever enough to pick a winning side and made it win even more.

In fact, Fringilla has been wiping out whole armies before Yennefer even could. Fringilla was the one responsible for Calanthe's defeat against Nilfgaard after she sunk the whole Skellige army by conjuring up a storm. When it came to the Battle oܫf Sodden, Fringilla also showed except💖ional tactics and strategy which nearly won them the battle and the war... until Yennefer reminded her who the show is about.

EITHNE

Eithne is the leader of the Brokilon dryads in The Witcher universe and for that matter, she is wise and just when it comes to protecting her own domain. She's also old and respected even by creatures who are not dryads. In fact, it seems 🍷only humans have the gall to disrespect Eithne a𓃲nd Brokilon.

Hence, the two have been at war with eac🐽h other ever since human nobles started wanting Brokilon territory. In any cas෴e, Eithne still provided Ciri the wisdom and directions she needs in order to pursue her destiny. She was lucky enough to have met someone powerful and influential enough to help her get through such a dangerous ordeal.

2 🔜 🍌 VILGEFORTZ

SPOILER ALERT. If you haven't read all the books, then it's best to skip this section. With that out of the way, Vilgef♐ortz is introdu🐼ced in Season 1 as a noble and courageous leader figure who stood against the overwhelming forces of Nilfgaard. Then, it turns out he was up to something all along after he bludgeoned an ally to death.

That's because Vilgefortz is likely in league already with Nilfgaard, albeit secretly. Basically, Vilgefortz is playing both sides and is helping the next Emperor of Nilfgaard rise to power. That's how clever he is. Eventually, he will also become the de facto big bad guy in The Witcher o🍸nce he has amassed enough power, that's how intelligent he and we'll certainly get 💝to see all of this unfold in the next seasons.

1 BORCH TH༒REE JACKDAWS/VILLENTꦑRETENMERTH

Borch Three Jackdaws from The Witcher

Being intelligent doesn't necessarily mean you have to be ☂evil to display it. Sometimes vast intellect can♔ come in the form of reason, understanding, and restraint, just like what the dragon Villentretenmerth has displayed. He's also known as Borch Three Jackdaws while in human form and has appeared in the show and is a recurring character in the books.

Despite being a dragon, Villentretenmerth still shows incredible sophistication and empathy. His compassion is also commendable and likely holds limitless knowledge of the ages. In the books, Villentretenmerth even teaches his daughter to see weaker or lesser creatures as equals and to live with them in harmony. You don't see anyone else with that sort of positive and modern outlook in The Witcher.
