It looks like we now know when the Witcher Netflix series will air, thanks to someone who is probably now fired. The Netherlands branch ﷽of the streaming service put out a tweet yesterday that has since been deleted, but was naturally saved by observant fans. It lists the wait time for several upcoming Netflix😼 shows, one of which is .

The post in question seemed like one of those social media things where someone in an office was trying to be cute. Rather than simply announce release dates for titles like You Season 2 or The Witcher, Netflix Netherlands decided to tell followers how many "sleeps" it'd🐟 be until these shows premiered.

The Witcher has 97 sleeps until its premiere, which would put it at December 17, 2019. The tweet was quickly removed,  which always does more harm than go♋od. It's almost like Netflix is𒀰 admitting to these dates by being so quick to cover them up.

This is Netflix, however, a platform that isn't trapped in the expectations of traditional television distribution. It could easily decide to delay The Witcher release to surprise us in light of this leak. It could also drop it early. That said, it seems unlikely. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Previous reports have indicated a December launch.

The Witcher will star Henry Cavill as the titular Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Fans were unimpressed by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:early costume reveals of the characters, but still remain tentatively excited after the f168澳洲幸运5开奖网:irst trailer dropped. We were also given reassurance by Cavill himself that he is a "168澳洲幸运5开奖网:big gamer" and wants to do Geralt justice.

As for everyone else involved, Netflix seems to be investing a lot in the show, perhaps in a bid to capture the now disgruntled and unclaimed Game of Thrones audience. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich is already busy putting together the writers' room for season two. The Witcher will be available exclusively via Netflix 🌠probably on December 17.
