HyperX, a PC peripheral company focused on gaming, announced it will continue its partnership with the esports organization, the Pittsburg Knights. HyperX als𝓡o announced they will support the “Wiz and Friends Charity Livestream” on Saturday, July 11th. The event is being produced by the esports organization and will be hosted by artist, Knights strategic partner, and Pittsburg native Wiz Khalifa in order to raise money for (Raise Above the Disorder), a charity dedicated to giving access to universal mental health care 🥀to youth.
Personalities like xQc, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty, Steve-O, and many more will appear alongside Wiz Khalifa. HyperX will provide peripherals to everyone participating in the stream. All funds raised will specifically support young people. Half of all mental health conditions start by 14 years of age, but most cases are undetected and untreated according to the . Due ꦕto the degree of marginalization and discrimination people of color face, they are at an even higher risk of poor mental health. The charity’s goal is to spread awareness of mental health and allow younger people to access the care they need.
Knights president James O’Conner said in a press release, "In light of this extraordinary time when the Covid-19 pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests have swept across the U.S. (and the world), we believe it is an especially important♎ time to support those who are suffering and in need of mental health care. This charity live stream is a direct way to help those who do not have easy access to the care they need and deserve."
