Wizkids Previews New Marvel HeroClix The Fantastic Four

Wizkids has announced a launch date for the latest set for their popular Marvel HeroClix and this time 💧we෴ see the return of The Fantastic Four.

“HeroClix the #1 Selling Collectible Miniatures Game in the World!” - A strong claim, but one they can prove with over 750,000,000 figures and counting sold. HeroClix is a tabletop turn-based combat game that sees players control a force of characters that fight each other across a playf꧅ield. These are typically pre-produced ‘maps’ laid out in a grid of 1.5” squares. Playfields could represent a variety of locations and challenges 🌸including outdoor locations, buildings, and internal structure layouts. The units that make up a force have individual character cards that outline their abilities that can be used in-game. Victory is achieved when only one player remains undefeated. Games typically take 90 minutes and are aimed at ages 14 and up.

There are 70 new pre-painted miniatures to collect including the first family of Marvel, The Fantastic Four; Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and The Thing. They are joined by many of their friends and enemies from the Marvel Universe. In a recent post, HeroClix news pundit, Clixed Off had early acꦺcess to some of the characters in the new expansion. We were excited to see the inclusion of Black Leopard as a Prime, especially as he only used this alter-ego for a very short period, as creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby sought tꦍo avoid confusion between the character and the civil rights movement of the time. The other miniatures revealed are Klaw (Uncommon) and Franklin Von Doom (Chase).

Booster Packs for Marvel HeroClix will be available with five minis per box and pre-o🍬rders can be made via the Wizkids website or at your local games store with them expected to hit stores in July. Making up the fully tally of 70 characters are the follow🥀ing rarities.
