8 Lavish Su꧟ramar Feaওst (Legion)
Lavish…isn’t the first word that comes to mind when looking at the Lavish Suramar Feast. It’s got plenty on its stone plates– mostly meat, but ‘’lavish” calls to mind fanc༒y cooking and elegant plating, and th🅺is…is not that.
“Slapdash" and “undercooked” are the words that come to mind when looking at this spread. That haunch looks like it barely saw an oven and that foot still has claws in it! It’s a shame because some of the ingredients for the feast sound tasty, like a Slice of Bacon, Leybeque Ribs, and the Pepper Breath-inducing Drogbar-style Salmon. 7 💃 Seafood Magnifique Feast (Cataclysm) ⛄
The recipe says that this is a feast, but clearly, that is a lone cಌrab in a wicker basket full of boiling water. While boiled crab is undeniably tasty, because crab is tasty no matter how you cook it, this doesn’t exactly look like it ꦓcan serve a raid.
The ingredients list a bunch of seafood, meaning that this feast lives up to its name, at least on paper. Unfortunately, boiled fish isn’t very tasty, which is what the presentation suggests about how they&rsqu🙈o;re cooked. The weirdest thing about this recipe, however, is that despite a crab being featured prom♔inently in it, of the three ingredients that make this dish up, crab is not one of them.
6 ꦕ Feast of Gluttonous Hedonism (Shadowlands) ♏
Gluttonous is right, that is a lot of food, surely enough to feed up to 35 hungry adventurers. Unfortunately, “a lot” doesn’t mean “prepared well”. It’s a bunch of food, piled high wi꧒th no regard for aesthetics or restraint. Also, that fish looks a little undercooked.
This looks like a spread that would be put out by aliens who have been told only in vague tℱerms what human cuisine is like– there are unpeeled bananas in that cake! Also, there’s something disturbing about how half the ingredients are made up of animals who died, and ended up in the Azerothian afterlife, only to be slaughtered and eaten again. That’s rough.
5 Fish♈ Feast (Wra💎th of the Lich King)
Being the first feast in the game’s history, the Fish Feast is suitably humble, but not without its charm. Tho🐟ugh it’s low-poly, there’s something strangely wholesome about a fish, cooked over an open fire, pleasantly browned, and served on a silver platter.
The garnish of citrus fruit– conspicuously absent from the actual recipe, is nonetheless a nice touch. Also, conspicuously absent on the platter is the rest of the fish used in the recipe, so it’s anyone’s guess w🌄hether we’re looking at a cooked Musselback Sculp🧔in, Glacial Salmon, or a Nettlefish.
4 Feast of the Waters (War♑lords of Draenor) 🅠
A simple, but nonetheless tasty-looking spread, especially for those who love seafood. Among you lo❀vers of the sea’s bount🔴y, there’s something for everybody, save for any bivalves like mussels or clams.
This recipe is also one of the best at showcasing what’s actually in it. You can tell that the lobster-looking thing is the Sea Scorpion Segment, the fish a Blind Lake Sturgeon, the octopus a Fire Am🔯monite Tentacle, and the rest of them likely pureed and used in the soup. The point of concern is that this recipe seems to lack any seasoning.
3 Bountiful Captain’ꦯ♚s Feast (Battle For Azeroth)
Truly, a feast worthy of its name, a veritable smorgasbord of the finest in Zandalari and Kul’Tiran cuisine, a꧑chieving a unity that is at odds with the fact that those two nations are at war.
This feast has a delectable array of meats and seafood, from the hearty fish steaks, to the bone-in meat to the lobster tails, all tastefully arranged on a ꧋tiered plate,💎 and topped off with a yummy-looking tiered cake. Come for the delightful spread, and stay for the sweet stats.
2 Grand Banquet Of The Kalu’ak (Dragonflight) ෴
Of all the dishes🌠, the Grand Banquet of the Kalu&r✃squo;ak looks the most “cooked”. There are some attractive grill marks on one fish, and browning on most of the other pieces. Even the least cooked-looking of them, the sliced fish, have a color that hints that they were poached or steamed.
All variations on the dish suggest attention to seasoning and a variety of flavors, though it’s concerning that each one se🥃ems to have a ꧙dessert hidden in it.
There are three ways that this dish can be made, but they all have the same result. Even if they did the same exact thing, it would have been nice ifꦫ each recipe resulted in variations in how𒈔 the dish looked.
1 Pandaren Treasure Noodle C🎃art (Mists of Pandaria)
The most charmingly presented feast in all of World of Warcraft, the Pandaren Treasure Noodle Cart is just darling. You get a big old pot of soup and some attractively steaming bao buns, all in🧜 a stand reminiscent of one y💟ou might find at a night market. This also gets bonus points for being one of the most hygienic feasts in WoW, since it’s at standing height as opposed to most of the other feasts that are low to the ground or even, just placed right on the dirt.
