How To Gain Renown

Zaralek Cavern Map With Loamm Niffen World Quests And Niffen NPCs

Loamm Niffen reputation can be gained from five sources:

  • Completing quests in the Embers of Neltharion campaign chain.
  • Loamm Niffen World Quests in Zaralek Cavern.
  • Zaralek Cavern public events, such as Researchers Under Fire or Magmaclaw Matriarch.
  • Completing Sniffensneek Digs.
  • Completing the weekly quest: A Worthy Ally: Loamm Niffen.

All these methods are fairly easy to complete, with the World Quests and public events being a repeatable source. It will most likely take multiple weeks to reach the max renown level of 20, so don't feel like you should be rushing towards the end.

There are only fairly minor power gains to be had, as most of the Loamm Niffen's rewards are cosmetic.

Sniffensneeking

Myritt NPC And A Dig In World Of Warcraft Dragonflight

Sniffensneeking is a new weekly activity similar to the Forbidden Reach's Zskera Vaults. It has you exploring separate instanced zones, each containing a special puzzle. These are called Digs, and there are up to 17 unique Digs for you to experience.

You can go on up to three separate Digs a week by talking to Myritt, a special Niffen found within Loamm. He is the master digger, and you'll be using his abilities to help you within your Digs. Some Digs will require you to use all of Myritt's abilities, whereas some will only need one. You may have to solve a riddle or unearth certain special items to activate a pedestal.

Myritt's abilities are:

  • Burrow: Go underground with Myritt, providing access to Emerge and Dig, which can help you unearth buried treasures.
  • Sniff: Search for unique treasures and items.
  • Put Down Myritt: Place Myritt at a location.
  • Niffen Friend: Causes Myritt to follow you.
  • Escape: Leave the Dig.

In order to go on a Dig you must have given Myritt a Dig Map. These can be acquired from sources such as the weekly Loamm Niffen renown quest, or purchased from Ponzo for some Bartered items. Myritt can hold up to three Dig Maps at a time.

Although they are good fun, what is the actual point of doing a Sniffensneek? Well upon completion, you will receive a bag that contains a variety of items:

  • Zaralek Glowspores
  • 250 Loamm Niffen reputation
  • Dragon Isles Supplies
  • Profession reagents

You can also acquire collectibles such as the Salverun battle pet.
