Northrend might not be the friendliest location in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:World of Warcraft, but its frosty shores are home to more than just the scourge. In fact, there are all kinds of sec🌠rets buried beneath the snow and ice across the frozen continent if you know the right places to look.

World of Warcraft has been a home to easter eggs, references, and hidden treasures ever since its inception, and Wrath of the Lich King certainly delivers on adding even more covert items, mounts, events, and more to the game. Whether its your first time in Northrend, or you're reliving the nostalgia of one of the best gaming stories to ever be told, chances are you aren't privy to all of the buried content Wrath of the Lich King has to offer.

Magus Square First Aid Tailoring Dalaran Northrend wotlk wow classic

This easter egg is a reference to the popular tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons. A number of books are located throughout Dalaran which bear the names of the different schools of magic within D&D. However, the books only spawn on occasion, and sometimes the books that appear aren't actually relevant to the Higher Learning achievement.

Besides earning an achievement for successfully tracking down and reading all eight books, you also receive a toy that allows you to teleport to one of the towers in Dalaran. Speak to Archmage Vargoth located in the same tower, and he'll reward you with a Kirin Tor Familiar battle pet that has the appearance of an arcane elemental and sometimes casts arcane explosions while out.

7 ✃ Dala🔜ran Sewers

dalaran sewers

Besides being a great location for fishing and the place where you can find an easter egg referencing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the 🍰Dalaran Sewers are also littered with bottles of Underbelly Elixir that you can pick up and drink. Doing so will provide your character with one of three visual effects.

The first is that your character is transformed into a flying wasp. The second makes it so that every other person you see has the appearance of a mage in the Netherwind Regalia tier set. After all, Dalaran is the city of mages. The final effect also comes with a mechanical benefit in that it increases your fishing skill by ten and turns you into a "hungry" tuskarr. Due to the tuskarr transformation's fishing benefit, it's a good practice to collect these before long bouts of fishing in the sewers.

6 Rare Hunter Pets 🍒

Loquenahak

Hunters have always had highly sought after pets in every prior version of the game, and WotLK is no different. While these pets won't provide you with any sort of mechanical benefit, they do come with rather unique appearances. King Krush is the only lime-green devilsaur you'll find in the game, Aotana is a parrot colored in a one-of-a-kind blue and purple model, and there are also a number of spirit beasts available throughout Northrend.

The spirit beasts include a purple-tinted ghostly nightsaber named Gondria, a blue ghost bear named Arcturis, a sort of snow jaguar called Loque'nahak (good luck pronouncing that), and a lightning wolf known as Skoll. All the beasts listed here are rare spawns, so good luck catching them all!

5 Wolf Transmog 𝔍 ꦅ

rituals of the new moon wolf form

A quest line in Grizzly Hills comes with a little-known loot drop for players that have the Inscription profession, which allows you to transmogrify your character into a wolf. The item in question is called Technique: Rituals of the New Moon and has a chance to drop off NPCs in Silvermoon after you progress the questline far enough for them toღ become hostile.

Once you learn this recipe, you can craft the Rituals of the New Moon off-hand item, which has an on-use that transforms you into a wolf. Now you can spend your time in between raids howling at the moon. Supposedly, it's a quite relaxing activity.

4 Gone Fishin'

Completing fishing dailies in Wrath has a chance to reward you with a number of items useful for both cosmetic purposes and, in some cases, mecha♑nic🐼al ones. Speak with Marcia Chase in Dalaran and complete her tasks each day to earn a Bag of Fishing Treasures which has a chance of containing all of the items listed below.

The bag might contain fishing enhancements including a Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat, High Test Eternium Fishing Line, or a Bone or Jeweled Fishing Pole. There's also a chance at a Sealed Vial of Poison which leads to a quest that awards reputation with the Kirin Tor, a crab battle pet, a toy compass, and a unique hat or diamond-tipped cane to pimp out your bank alt. While you're fishing for these dailies, there's also always a chance that you pull up a Sea Turtle Mount as long as you're fishing in Northrend.

3 Terk𝕴y the Murloc 🎐

terky the murloc

If you find yourself enamored with collecting battle pets, Terky the Murloc is a must-have that you can easily acquire from a hidden underwater cave in the Borean Tundra. This secret was so well-kept that it actually wasn't even discovered until Cataclysm released almost two years later.

At the base of a tower in the deep south of the Borean Tundra is a crack that will lead you to a secret underwater lair. Inside the lair you'll find a radiant white orb atop an altar. Loot the orb, and you will acquire the White Murloc Egg which summons Terky the Murloc as your battle pet.

2 Quel'Delar, Sister To The High Blade

quel'delar

There's no shortage of great epic weapons in Wrath, but one of the coolest available is undoubtedly Quel'Delar. For those of you who played vanilla, you might remember a similarly named item which was the object of a quest that leads you to Onyxia's Lair called Quel'Serrar. Like its sister blade, Quel'Delar will also put your character on a grand questline that ultimately ends with the reward of a powerful weapon.

Unlike Quel'Serrar though, there is a large selection of epic weapons including swords and maces that you can choose from at the end of this quest line. However, it all begins with the looting of a Battered Hilt from one of the Icecrown dungeons: The Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, or Halls of Reflection. The large selection of weapons at the end ♍of the qu𓆏est line means there are many classes that will be interested in looting this item, so roll high.

1 🌠 🍸 The Time-Lost Proto Drake

time lost proto drake

Last and, perhaps, most memorable of all is the dif🗹ficult-to-obtain Time-Lost Proto Drake epic flying mo🌳unt. This mount is a drop from rare spawn in the Storm Peaks that is also called a Time-Lost Proto Drake. What makes this rare spawn especially hard to pin down is the fact that it shares a spawn with another rare monster called Vyragosa.

Currently, a lot of people are camping this rare spawn with add-ons that will notify them exactly when it comes up, so you'll need to download a rare spawn finder addon of your own if you want to have any chance at successfully securing this mount. If you're on a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PvP (player versus player) server, it might be a good idea to keep your resilience gear handy. Furthermore, you'll want to be sure and kill Vyragosa any time she spawns so that you get a chance at the Time-Lost Proto Drake spawning in her place.
