Navigating the realms of Shadowlands can be a bit of a chore. You can leave your Hearthstone with an innkeeper wherever you'd like, of course, but getting back and forth between your Covenant Sanctum, Oribos, The Maw, Torghast,🐭 and the rest of the Shadowlands can be a real pain with only one hearthstone. Without the ability to fly or use the Flight Master's Whistle, many players have been wondering if there is an easier way to get around. As it turns out, there is a new hearthstone that can be unlocked in Shadowlands that will allow you to instantly teleport to your Covenant Sanctum, but unlocking it will not be easy.
The new hearthstone is tied to Renown, an upgrade path introduced in Shadowlands. Players that have completed the campaign, reached level 60, and chosen a covenant will be able to start making progress on their Renown by completing quests in their Covenant Sanctum. To un♏lock the Covenant Hearthstone, players will need to reach Renown level 11. The catch is that only a few Renown levels can be earned each week.
We have a♛ full guide on how to earn Renown𒅌 levels that you can find here, but essentially, there are two quests you can complete each week that both offer you one level of Renown. One quest requires you to collect anima by completing World Quests and succeeding at Covenant Adventures, while the other requires you ﷽to rescue Tormented Souls from The Maw. Completing both quests each week will reward you two Renown levels and grant access to a new chapter in your covenants campaign. Completion of the campaign chapter will reward one more Renown level. Thus, it i🦹s possible to earn three levels of Renown per week.
To unlock the Covenant Hearthstone, you will need to earn 11 levels of Renown. This means that you will need to earn all three levels in weeks one, two, and three, then complete both of the anima and Tormented Soul quests in week four before you will unlock the Covenant Hearthstone. If you miss any levels over the next four weeks, there is a catch-up mechanic that will allow you to earn Renown levels by completing dungeons, PvP, raids, and other end-game activities, so it isn't necessary to earn all three levels every wee🅺k. That said, it will take a minimum of three weeks full weeks and the completion of two quests in the fourth week before players will have access to the Covenant Hearthstone. Players who earn ꧅every possible level of Renown will have access to the hearthstone starting Tuesday, December 15 at reset.
There is some speculation that the Covenant Hearthstone will only ಞwork when in your covenant's realm. This means that the Night Fae Hearthstone will only work when the player is already in Ardenweald, the Kyrian Hearthstone will only work when the player is already in Bastion, and so on and so fortಞh. We won't know the specifics of how the new hearthstone works until week four, and we'll update the guide then.
If all else fails, you can just play a Vulpera. Theirꦕ passive ability allows them to return to a camp they leave somewhere in the world. It's like having an extra hearthstone as a spell, and you get to look like a cool fox guy. Win-win, right?
