Not only do professions in Wrath provide your character with some interesting additional passive benefits, but they also allow you to customize your play experiences.
This is thanks to multiple professions offering their users access to unique benefits. As a result, it's up to you to some degree as to what you feel the best profession is for your character. That being said, there are some professions that provide widely usable benefits for all kinds of characters. Let's take a look at our options.
6 Inscription ༺ 🐷
Inscription is a newly released profession in Wrath of the Lich King that allows your character to make glyphs. Your characters can equip glyphs in order to further customize and modify theiℱr abilities. Needless to say, everyone in the game is going to be purchasing glyphs for their 💝characters, so this profession can provide steady gold income, especially when combined with Herbalism.
You can also use Inscription to create Darkmoon decks which are some of the best trinkets early in the expansion. For all of these reasons, Inscription is a great profession for making gold. Additionally, picking inscription as your chosen profession grants access to the best shoulder enchants in the game usable only by master inscribers. If you're not an inscriber, you'll have to grind reputation with the Sons of Hodir to exalted before you can purchase the less powerful shoulder enchants they have available. In other words, Inscription is a great choice if you hate doing daily quests and grinding reputation.
5 Enchantin🦩g
Enchanting's usefulness as a source of income falls off somewhat in Wrath compared to earlier expansions. However, enchanters do gain a powerful new boon through the ability to enchant their own rings. In previous expansions, enchanting could be a huge gold maker thanks to the existence of low drop rate and difficult-to-acquire recipes that you needed to be determined and lucky to acquire.
If you managed to get one of these recipes early enough in the game's life cycle, you could make tons of gold by selling the enchant for ridiculous prices to interested buyers. In Wrath, all of the best enchants are simply locked behind a vendor that allows you to purchase whatever enchant recipe you want provided you have enough Dream Shards. These shards can be acquired by disenchanting items you find across Northrend, making the enchants far less rare. Nonetheless, enchanting is still a good source of income in Wrath. Furthermore, the ability to enchant your own rings does provide your character with a great additional bonus for being an enchanter.
4 Tailoring
As is the case in previous iterations of the game, tailoring will provide players in cloth-wearing classes with easier access to a number of prebis (pre-raid best in slot) items. If you enjoy seeing your own character name on your clothing or the clothing of others, tailoring certainly won't disappoint. However, the main benefit of taking up tailoring in Wrath is actually due to the unique cloak enchants to which tailors gain access.
These enchants are called embroideries and come in three forms. Darkweave enchants your cloak with a proc (procedurally generated ability) to restore 400 mana when you cast a spell, Lightweave gives your cloak a proc that increases your spell power by 295 for 15 seconds whenever you cast a spell, and Swordguard gives your cloak a chance to proc a 400 attack power increase to ranged and melee attacks for 15 seconds. Both the Darkweave and Lightweave procs ar♍e extremely powerful for casters, making tailoring the best profession for casting classes.
3 🐓 Blacksmithing
Like tailoring, blacksmithing provides plate-wearing classes with the ability to craft a number of items as well. Unfortunately, pretty much all of the gear you can craft with blacksmithing becomes replaced as early as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:heroic dungeons. That being said, there are a number of items that are good for early PvP in Wrath.
Players who do choose to take up blacksmithing will benefit from the ability to add gem sockets to their bracers and gloves with Socket Bracer and Socket Gloves. While the addition of two sockets to your gear might not seem as beneficial as the gains provided by professions we've already talked about, it becomes better once Trial of the Crusader releases and all players gain access to more powerful epic gems. It's also worth mentioning that blacksmithers can craft Eternal Belt Buckles which will be in high demand at the auction house as all players need to purchase them for belt gem sockets.
2 Jewelcrafting 🍸
Players interested in acquiring absolute bis gear will be forced to take up Jewelcrafting due to the existence of the highly powerful Jewlecrafting-only gems. To put it simply, these gems can provide your character with an additional +60 spell power, +108 attack power, +81 stamina, or +27 mana regener💯ation𝓡 per five seconds in comparison to non-Jewelcrafter gems.
For this reason, Jewelcrafting is the best profession for all classes and specs at the beginning of Wrath. As was mentioned in the blacksmithing entry, once Trial of the Crusader releases and epic gems become available to everyone, jewelcrafting becomes slightly less powerful. That being s🍨a🃏id, hardcore raiders should look no further than Jewelcrafting as their chosen profession.
1 🍸 Engineering
While all of the most hardcore players will need to take up Jewelcrafting, they'll also find that they need to take up Engineering as well if they want access to some of the best items in the game to take into raids. For starters, Hyperspeed Accelerators glove enchant allows players to provide themselves with 340 haste rating for 12 seconds once every minute. That's a lot of haste over the course of an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:entire raid, many of which take multiple hours to clear.
However, there are also Saronite Bombs that can deal 1500 fire damage every minute, Runic Mana Injectors that are simply upgraded mana potions for all mana-based classes, Nitro Boosts that give your footwear rocket boost capabilities that increase your movement speed, and much more.
