After a long break, the longest-running wrestling video game series is back with. The year and a half break seems to be paying off as early previews are positive about its gameplay, visuals, and more. There are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:features making a return that have been requested by fans for a long time such as the General Manager mode now known as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the MyGM mode.
has been revealed and there is a huge selection of 171 wrestlers to choose from. There are surprising members on the list that will be welcomed by wrestling fans especially as it features a significant stable of stars 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:that have made the jump to AEW and Ring of Honor like Keith Lee and Braun Strowman respectively. Thankfully, WWE 2K22 has included a good number of legends on the roster that include Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, and more. However, the WWE Legends roster could still do with some work and there's hope that more will appear in some future DLC. Here's a list of stars that should be included.
8 Demolition ౠ
There is a distinct lack of real tag teams in the WWE. Of course, there are standouts like The New Day and the 80s throwback team The Viking Raiders. Sadly, none quite have the impact they did back in the golden era of wrestling when teams like The Hart Foundation — ✃who are included in WWE 2K22 — and Demolition.
It is widely believed that the tag team Demolition was originally formed because Vince McMahon was unable to get his hands on the Road Warriors/Legion of Doom at the time. However, war-painted wrestlers were a big deal in the 80s and 90s with Sting, Ultimate Warrior, and Japan's Great Muta. Either way, Ax and Smash were an awesome tag team from this era that destroyed all comers from Strike Force to the Rockers. The last time they were included in the franchise 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:was in WWE 2K17, the team is long overdue a return.
7 Lex Luger
Lex Luger was one of the biggest stars in NWA/WCW and one of Vince McMahon's picks to replace Hulk Hogan as the face of the WWE. Unfortunately for Luger that wasn't the case. Even though he had a memorable run as "The Narcissist" and an All-American hero traveling the US in the Lex Express, fans didn't quite take to Luger as Vince hoped.
Luger was always a better fit for WCW and his "Total Package" gimmick was far more over with fans. He had legendary runs with Ric Flair, The Four Horsemen, and with his best friend Sting. Like Hogan, his in-ring ability was quite limited, but he was a solid performer when in there with the right talent. With Sting being absent from WWE 2K22 after leaving for AEW, the next best thing would be the former WCW champion, Lex Luger. The last time Luger was in a WWE game was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in WWE 2K19 as his Total Package persona.
6 🍨 ♛ Sensational Sherri Martel
If there was ever a female performer that personified the 80s and 90s WWE era, it was "Sensational" Sherri Martel. Sherri was an outstanding wrestler in the ring and an iconic manag🎀er for Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, "the Milli൲on Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase, and Ric Flair.
Her outlandish and wild persona helped get her and the wrestlers she managed noticed by fans. Her pairing with the "Macho Man" Randy Savage was the most memor𒊎able. They complimented each other as heels, and it was hard to imagine Savage without her. Her inclusion as a wrestler a꧑nd manager in WWE 2K22 would make perfect sense. Sherri was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006 but sadly passed away in 2007 at the age of 49.
5 𓃲 “Ravishing” Rick Rude
T🐲he late Rick Rude is without a doubt one of the greatest heels in the history of wrestling. He had the ability to carry any wrestler no matter how limited to a good match and make them look like a million dollars in the process.
He was a heel that fans loved to hate but secretly anticipated his every appearance because they knew how entertaining he was. Everything from his introduction telling the fans "what a real sexy man looks like" before disrobing was pure gold. Rude had amazing runs in the WWE and had fantastic matches in WCW. He served in a managerial position for the two biggest factions of all time, D-X and the nWo. With that kind of record, it doesn't make sense not to include Rick Rude as a legend.
4 ꦑ Madusa AKA Alundra Blayze
Madusa Miceli also known as Alundra Blayze in the WWE is highly regarded as one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time. She has wrestled all over the world from working in the AWA to All Japan Women's Wrestling. However, it was her success in both WCW and the WWE that defined her as a great performer and in a managerial position.
Madusa is celebrated now as one of the greatest women's wrestlers of all time and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015. However, that was after her stunt where she dropped the Women's WWE World title into a bin live on WCW led to her being blacklisted by Vince for 20 years. Madusa has had a prolific career and is responsible for training successful female wrestlers like Molly Holly and Torrie Wilson.
3 Legion Of Doom AKA The Road Wa🎃rriors
The Road Warriors, also known as🧸 Legion of Doom in the WWE were one of the most popular tag teams during the 90s. Their hard-hitting style, war-painted faces, and charisma were an instant hit with fans old and young durܫing this era.
The team was one of the few to find success in other territories and get a push from Vince in the WWE. The team's look and persona were inspired by the Mad Max movies. The gimmick led to several imitation teams like the aforementioned Demolition, Powers of Pain, Blade Runners (Sting and The Ultimate Warrior), and the universally disliked Ascension. There has only ever been one Legion of Doom and that was the original team of the late Hawk and Animal. It's difficult to predict if the LoD will ever be a part of the WWE Legends list again because Animal (Joe Laurinaitis) had a lawsuit against the WWE for brain injuries sustained in the ring. The lawsuit was dismissed by a judge two weeks before Animal's passing. It's certainly time to put the feud to bed and bring the team back into the WWE fold.
2 ൩ Mr. Perfe🌺ct Curt Hennig
Next to Rick Rude, the late Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig was one🧔 of the greatest heels in the business. He was also one of the most entertaining villains that had amazing matches against Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, and more in the 90s.
Sadly, Hennig is another wrestler from WWE and WCW's golden era that's no longer with us, but his legacy and influence live on. Wrestlers from Curtis Axel — his real-life son — to AEW's MJF appear to have been influenced by Hennig's in-ring persona and body of work.
1 🎀 ༺ Ricky Steamboat
Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat is often🌳 regarded as one of the greatest performers of all time. Steamboat never seemed to have a bad match and had multiple incredible matcheꩲs against Ric Flair, Rick Rude, and more.
His WrestleMania 3 match against Macho Man Randy Savage is still considered to this day to be one of the best and most exciting matches of all time. Even though Hulk Hogan versus Andre The Giant was the event's biggest ticket seller it was Steamboat and Savage that tore the house down and stole the show.
