The original Xbox hit store shelves on November 15, 2001. It’s hard to believe that it’s been just 20 years since Microsoft barreled its way into the games industry with its own enormous console, but it did, and it h♓as. So to celebrate, Microsoft is hosting a 20th-anniversary broadcast event where it will look back on the past 20 years and say to itself, “well done.”
If you were expecting Xbox to celebrate its 20th birthday with a big new game announcement, think again. Xbox has made it abundantly clear that this broadcast will be about nostalgi🐻a, not novelty.
"We invite you to join us on November 15 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Xbox and Halo with a fun, digital broadcast for fans around the globe,” . “While we won’t announce any new ꧅games, this anniversary broadcast will be a special look back at 20 years of Xbox."
No additiღonal details were provided, but Xbox promised more on this anniversary cel꧂ebration in the coming days.
Perhaps a better celebration than the self-congratulatory broadcast is Xbox's release schedule for the next few months. Age of Empires 4 arrives on October 28, followed by Forza Horizon 5 on November 9, and then the Game of the Year Edition for Microsoft Flight Simula♒tor, which brings five new planes, eight new airports, new tutorials, DirectX 12 support, and the Reno Air Races.
And then the new release schedule caps off with Halo Infinite on December 8. Not even Minecraft's Caves & Cliffs Part 2 can stand up to the hype generated by Master Chie🐼f himself.
