The April 2021 lineup has been announced by Microsoft, offering up four aging titles – including Vikings: Wolves of 𒅌Midgard and Dark Void.
While none of the games took the world by storm when they first 🀅launched, one of the four is bound to catch your eye and give you a way to bide time during the slow part of the gaming calendar.
Here are the titles included in Games With Gold for April 2021:
Vikings: Wolves of Midgard
- April 1 - April 30
Vikings: Wolves of Midgard is an ARPG cut from the same cloth as Diablo. You'll hack down hordes of monsters – including iconic beasts from Norse mythology – while looting powerful new gear and growing your abilities. The game is also playable in co-op, a🐻lthough you're limited to one other player.
Truck Racing Championship
- April 16 - May 15
The title says it all – step behind a semi-truck and speed through race tracks as fast as you can. You'll have access to 45 different rigs, 14 circuits, and a variety of unique challenges t෴o work through. If you're hoping to win each race, you'll need to "consider the weight of the truck when cornering, monitor tire wear, and find the best tactics." Driving a five-ton truck offers a radically different experience than most racing games on the market, so be prepared for a bit of a learning curve.
Dark Void
- April 1 - April 15
Dark Void is a sci-fi adventure released way back in 2010. It combines "adrenaline-fueled" aerial combat with "ground-pounding" cover-based combat – a mixture that didn't do much to wi𒁏n over critics. Still, you might find some nostalgic charm with the decade-old game.
Hard Corps: Uprising
- April 16 - April 30
The retro shooter returns, with an available Arcade mode for old-school running-and-gunning, a🉐nd Rising mode, where you'll customize your soldier to fit your playstyle. Regardless of your choice, you'll be in for a frantic retro shܫooter experience.
Two of the titles will be mad♓e available for free on April 1, with the remaining games to follow on April 16.
