Despite Xbox now be🧸ing 23-studios strong, Phil Spencer has revealed there is no quota when it comes to acquisitions and it is always on the lookout for new pa🧔rtners.

The last few years have been big ones when it comes to PlayStation and Xbox seemingly teaming up with as many studios as possible. PlayStation, in particular, has really dialed up the rate at which it has been acquiring studios over the course of the past 12 months. Bluepoint, Housemarque, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Firesprite are just𝓰 some of the studios to join the PlayStation family.

Xbox has also been hard at work on that front, making very big w🧔aves in the industry via the big-money acquisition of Bethesda last year. Bethesda is one of just 23 studios under the Xbox umbrella today, and Phil Spencer recently revealed to the that it is far from done when it comes to seeking out new studios it could team ꦐup with.

“We’re always out there looking for people who we think would be a good match and teams that would be a good match with our strategy... we're definitely not done,” Spencer revealed. “There’s no quota. There’s no kind of timeline where I have to go acquire studios by a certain time.” Spencer explains it's an ongoing process, and should they find a studio where both sides can benefit from an acquisition, it could well lead to them working together.

As touched upon above, while Bethesda is the big-name Xbox has managed to bring in, it certainly isn't the only one. Ninja Theory, Playground Games, and Obsidian are now all Xbox-owned studios too. Spencer highlights the acquisitions don't mean those studios must now cater to Xbox's every whim. Quite the opposite, in fact.

“Bethesda’s great at being Bethesda. I don’t need Microsoft or Xbox to come in to help them be a better Bethesda than they were.” For Spencer and Xbox, it's all about listening. The first big test as to how well Xbox has been listening will arrive in the form of Starfield. Bethesda's next big project and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one that will be an Xbox exclusive. It will also be interesting to see which studios Xbox acquires next as it continues to bui⭕ld Game Pass into one of, if not ꩵthe best deal in the industry.
