Microsoft seem to be the only company that are interested in backwards compatibility. As it's important for gaming history, as well as offering players more choices, we respect them for doing this. Whether they may lose money or not, they're committed to allowing people to play whatever they want on their consoles. Below is the list of games that Microsoft need to make Xbox One backward compatible. People💛 will be very surprised to find out some of these!
10 Halo 2
Being a flagship series for Microsoft, it should come as no surprise that pretty much every single game is playable on the Xbox One. However, the exception to this rule is Halo 2. While some felt that it didn't reach the same heights as the first, Halo 2 is widely considered by many to be the best in the original trilogy. Microsoft have given us the option of buying The Master Chief Collection instead, b♑ut what about those who want to use their original Xbo🌳x copy instead?!
9 ෴ Batman: Arkham City
When Arkham Asylum came out, it shocked everyone with how good it was. The second game took everything great about the first and threw it into an open world setting. It added more to the mix as well, with extra gadgets and riddler challenger sweetening the deal. At this point, Arkham Origins is the only Batman game available throu꧑gh backward compatibility on Xbox One. This is the worst of the bunch, so it's about time that they added the best of the bunch to balance this out.
8 Grand Theft Auto V ꦦ 💯
The most recent installment in the franchise has been out for a long time at this point, but it still has a thriving community. There's no doubt that Rockstar will be working on the next Grand Theft Auto at the moment, so it would make sense to allow players the opti💃on to stick in their old games before it's released. It's always fun to stick a game like this on once in a while to cause some🅺 chaos. Until the next chaotic game from Rockstar comes out, this is all we have!
7 T💝omb Raider 🦋
Lara Croft is one of the most iconic video game character of all time, so it's no surprise that people keep trying to reboot her franchise. Howe😼ver, unlike other attempts, this one didn't f🍸ail. Watching Lara Croft at the beginning of her career was brilliant!
There have been two follow up games in the series that have been worth a look, but many agree th▨at the first of the three was the best. It was a lot more concise, although a little less refined.
6 𒐪 💖 Dishonored
After the original Thief series came to an end, there was a major gap in the video game market. filled that gap by offering players a chance to get involved with a living world that they could manipulate to their whim. Focusing on stealth, the player can use their mysterious powers to slowly work their ꦬway through the various lev💝els, taking out targets while trying to find out who betrayed them at the beginning of the game. It's a great game and offers something that very few games offer.
5 𒐪 Metro: Last Light
Based on a set of novels, the Metro series follows a man who lives underground. Set in a post-apocalyptic future, the Russian metro system was one of the only areas to s✱urvive the nuclear blast. Now, the people that live there must scavenge to survive. This is🍸 the best game in the series so far, which is why it should be available on backward compatibility. It's a truly unique experience that can't be found in any other games out there. Anything that makes it more likely people will play it is the best move forward!
4 Tom Clancy'🌺s Spliꦐnter Cell: Chaos Theory
Having properly refined the gameplay laid out in the first game, the third in the original Splinter Cell trilogy is a game still worth going back to have a look at. The series has gone downhill since its humble beginnings, which is why players should be able to go back into the past. While the graphics may be a little harder to look ♕at, the mechanics laid out underneath are still solid𝐆, and this is one of the best stealth gamesthat has ever been developed.
3 ﷽ Spider-Man 2🌌
When the newest Spider-Manඣ game came out, everyone wanted to know what the web swinging would feel like. Everyone was wondering if they would be able to make it feel as good as it did in this game from all the way back in 2004!
For those people that don't have a PS4 and can't play th✅rough the new game, it would be great if they had the option to go back in time and enjoy playing as Spider-Man on their Xbox One. This way they can wait it out in the hope that the new one will find its way onto the Xbox as well!
2 Burnout 3: Takedown ꦉ
Most racing games out there are all about precision. They want the player to learn every track as much as possible so they can predict every twist and turn. The Burnout games are different. They expect the player to drive recklessly, not only coming first but taking out as many opposing dr꧂ivers as possible. Seeing as there are so few racing games out there like this, it woꦜuld be great if more people could play it by throwing their old disc into their new machine, but it would seem that Microsoft doesn't agree.
1 Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath 🦂
The Oddworld series has had some major ups and downs, but one thing that everyone can agree on is that the developers were always trying something new. The fourth installment from the Oddworld guys puts the player in control of a new character altogether. After the third game, Munch's Odyssey, they wanted to try something new, putting the player into a cowboy world filled with unusual critters. The player fires these critters 𓄧at the enemies, either to stun them or kill them, before taking them in for the bounty!
