Microsoft💖’s E3 presentation has come and gone, revealing that pr🍒oject Scorpio is actually the Xbox One X.
The was a delightfully hokey p🀅iece of marketing, filled to the brim with technological cliches like zooming, circuit-bound lights and rising arm hair. Luckily right after that came the Microsoft presentation which was a little more tame and much more informative.
After months of speculation, Microsoft finally revealed that Project Scorpio (a name that only a Bondജ villain could come up with) will actually be called the Xbox One X, a logical leap down the alphabet from the already existent Xbox One S. It also looks a lot like the One S, with the same port configuration (includ𒈔ing the lack of Kinect port) and general boxy shape, although it will be a touch smaller and lighter.
On the inside it’s a whole different story. Xbox One X is a monster of a console, with an industry leading 6 teraflops of graphical power and beating out the nearest competitor, the PS4 Pro, with only 4.2 teraflops. The One X’s custom 🉐GPU engine runs at a blistering 1172 Mhz, more than 25% faster than the original Xbox One and still faster than the PS4 Pro at 911 Mhz. To keep its graphic card from melting it uses a vapor-chamber cooler, something that's only seen on high-end PC graphics cards like the GTX 1080.

All that𝐆 graphical power means that some old 900p and HD games will now run at native 4K, and all older Xbox One games will get a noticeable performance boost.
The One X will also ship with an Ultra-HD Blu-ray drive for watching 4K m🌠ovies, and a 1TB storage drive to keep things saf🏅e and secured. All your old peripherals from the Xbox One will also still work with the Xbox One X.
Best of all, the One X will launch with 22 exclusive titles, such as Forza Motorsport 7, Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, and Sea of Thieves.
The Xbox One X is set to hit store shelves on November 7, with a pric𓆉e tag of $499 USD (or $599 CAD).
