Xbox has rolled out the Xbox October Update which brings several new enhancements for the Xbox Series X, including the highly-anticipated 4K dashboard update as wel𒐪l as a Night Mode and improved quick settings. Xbox announced the update on , detailing some of the new features coming to Xbox consoles.
The biggest improvement this update brings is, of course, the 4K dashboard update that was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:being tested by Xbox Ins✤iders last August. Xbox has now rolled this feature out to the general public, and those with an Xbox Series X and a 4K display should be able to see improvements after d🌠ownloading the update.
You might not think a 4K dashboard is all that important, but the improvements are like night and day compared next to each other. Game art and buttons have increased sharpness, you'll have an easier time reading smaller text, and navigating through menus will feel much crisper and satisfying.
If that wasn't enough, October's update also includes a few interesting new features for those who like to game in the dark. Xbox has rolled out a Night Mode which will allow players to customize the amount of light coming from their display. There's even a customizable blue light filter that you can use, although this feature is specific for Xbox Series X/S.
For those that like in-game photography, you'll be pleased to know that these Night Mode settings don't interfere with screenshots, game clips, or performance. Users will be able to schedule when they want certain Night Mode settings to activate, even having certain settings sync up with the sunrise or sunset.
The Xbox October Update also adds some new features to the Xbox's Quick Settings function, allowing players to quickly toggle accessibility features without having to leave a game. This is especially helpful for larger families who share a console, letting people set up their own accessibility features quickly and effectively.
These new updates go live today and should be available once the player download's the latest hardware update on their system of choice.
