Microsoft's Xbox Series X is scheduled to release during the holiday cycle in 2020, likely sometime between October and December as has been seen in the past. That, of course, means a healthy dosage of games confirmed by developers, as well as games highly anticipated by fans that haven't necessa⭕rily been set in stone quite yet.

Without further ado, l🐼et's take a look at some of the titles fans should be looking forward to the most.

Battlefield 6

Battlefield is a long-running, beloved franchise spanning from the PS2 and original Xbox to the PS4 and Xbox One with its latest installments. EA has already confirmed Battlefield 6; however, they have not placed a concrete release date on the installment🐼. Neither have they confirmed which consoles▨ the game will launch on, but betting on next-generation consoles being included within that seems rather safe.

Though it may be a couple years before this title is available, the first-person shooter seems like a shoo-in to be a PS5 and Xbox Series X classic. Technologies available on the new generation could take this title to the next level. We've already seen how the near-photorealistic graphics made possible by the newest platforms can elevate other games, and Battlefield should be no exception.

Grand Theft Auto 6

Rockstar has far-from-confirmed GTA VI. But let's be honest: everyone knows it's coming, right? Grand Theft Auto 6 may not💧 be officially confir✱med, but it's about as likely as can be, without that official word from the developer.

What might this game look like? The vast open-world potential made possible by yet another generation of technological advances means this game should play like a dream, especially online. Whenever it releases, this game will instantly top the charts. GTA V set the bar high, so for the next installation to outdo it, GTA VI will need to pull out all the stops. If there's any developer trusted to do so, it's Rockstar.

Watchdogs: Legion

via pcgamer.com

Watchdogs: Legion was initially set for a March 2020 𝓡release, a few months before the new console's release. However, Ubisoft has pushed that date back into the next financial year, which means the title will launch some time from April 2020 to April 2021. Either way, the game will be available early in this next generation's cycle, though maybe not quite as early as gamers would have hoped. When it does launch, though, early information about the game promise it to be a favorite fo🤡r the new console.

Much of Hellblade 2's hype has circulated due to its impressive . Look at it: that game looks phenomenal. While that's to be expected oᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚn next-gen, this game looks like it may be one of the top releases on the pla⛎tform, and it will be available early on.

Current releas🐻e date ⛦projections place the game around December 2020, give or take a couple of months. That means you'll be able to pick up and play the game almost as soon as you pick up your new system.

Rainbow Six Siege will be available from the console's launch, as confirmed by director Leroy Athanassof. Additionally, the game will feature crossover play from Xbox𓂃 One to Xbox Series X, meaning you won't have to leave any of your friends behind alongside their older consoles.

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite was the first title confirmed for the Xbox Series X and for good reason. Halo is the crown gem of Xbox exclusives, and Halo Infinite ඣis the latest installment in that blessed lineage.

Easing consumer's purchasing decision is the fact that this game will include a free upgrade. Meaning: if you purchase the Xbox One version of the game, you'll be able to swap it out for the Xbox Series X edition once it's available. With such an offer, you can dip your toes into the newest edition of Halo before fully immersing yourself within the next-generation edition of the game once you're able to do so. Halo Infinite will be available when the console launches.
